Philip Morris International is the largest tobacco company in the world and is the 4 th largest global FMCG
company out of all categories (www.pmi.com)

Part of the Philip Morris marketing team of Bangladesh and promoted to as the in-charge of all consumer
engagement activities of Marlboro cigarettes in this country. Marlboro is the number one selling cigarette in
the world, and is the 8th largest global brand out of all categories. Activities include:
• Strategic planning and implementation of all below-the-line activities of Marlboro in Bangladesh. Events
include own PMI events as well as different sponsorships. Activation includes retail brand promoter
activation, activation conducted in modern trade and diversified channels (restaurants or lounges),
activation and engagement in different own or sponsorship events
• In-charge of Consumer Engagement yearly budget and ensure efficiency in budget spending
• Ensure 100% accuracy of work and reporting through Internal Controls, Audit and Compliance checks for
the department
• Reporting to local and regional management
• Investing time to develop the people and future leaders for the organization

Key Achievements:
• Increasing sales volume from 2 million cigarettes / month to 10 million cigarettes / month by supporting the
launch of Marlboro Gold, and in the process capturing 40% market share of premium Lights segment
cigarette from B&H Lights

In-charge of all retail consumer engagement activities of Marlboro cigarettes in Bangladesh. Activities
include:
•Recruiting, training, implementation and monitoring of 400+ Brand Communication Teams in Bangladesh
•Strategic planning and implementation of all activation of Marlboro in Bangladesh

Achievements:
•Launched Marlboro Gold Original in the retail environment with 500 Brand Promoters, the largest retail-
based brand promotion campaign of Bangladesh in the tobacco category (Oct 2011- Jan 2012).
•Received the PMI ABCD Award 2010 (Above and Beyond the Call of Duty, the 3 rd highest ranking global
award of PMI), for quality execution of retail brand promoter activities
•Launched the biggest ever international DJ party of Bangladesh, Velocity 4 – F1 themed party, with around
2000 invited guests –Hotel Sheraton, October 2010

AktiVision is specialised in activations and events. It is the event management wing of Adcomm Ltd, an
affiliate of Lowe Worldwide and one of the largest advertising agencies of Bangladesh. Major activations
and events:
 Katalyst: Developed and implemented a 40 upazilla integrated campaign between the Bangladesh
Government, Grameen Phone CIC Centres, Banglalink 7676 Helpline and global NGO Swiss Contact
Katalyst.
 Johnson and Johnson: Designed and implemented a brand promoter based activation campaign, which
involved direct selling at different superstores and door to door selling in different households.
 Other Major clients includes: WaterAid Bangladesh, HSBC and British Petroleum

Achievements:
 Developed and implemented the 1st time ever in Bangladesh, the AktiGram Inter-district Education Fair,
attracting over 24,000 students in six significant districts of the country; developed the overall strategy,
found sponsors, media partners and sold over 100 stalls to different participants.

 Completed internship in the Star Campus Magazine of the Daily Star; Edited articles, news and feature
