MK I seem to like Knizia's games very much but I never liked this one.
(Mislav)
Basically it's 10 mini dice games with weird rules that, IMO, don't catch the essence of the disciplines
they are representing.
It's like 10 different, random and not that interesting games, each with their own set of hard-to-
remember rules that you'll probably be referring to constantly. No usual Knizian simplicity and
elegance at all.
I guess people who like this game are attracted to the theme (and of course game is free, too), but
to me these mini games don't have much in common with the theme at all.
I guess I would even prefer Yahtzee over this one.

2. Board Game: D-Day Dice: Free Trial Version [Average Rating:6.64 Overall Rank:5219]
Christopher Another typical PnP Dice Game.
(teufen)
Needed components:
- rules
- score sheet + map (on 1 sheet)
- 6 standard D6 dice: 2 red, 2 white and 2 blue (custom dice are an
option, but not really necessary to me)
For my copy, I printed both the Omaha Beach and Gold Beach
map with score sheet on the color printer, and laminated both
maps together, back to back. I use some whit-board markers to
play.

But even more fortunately: the game will be published: 1 year anniversary of D-Day Dice... and a BIG
announcement!
3. Board Game: Delve: The Dice Game [Average Rating:6.46 Overall Rank:4982]
Christopher Needed components:
(teufen)
- rules
- map(s), one per A4 sheet
- 6x regular D6
I used the same method as with D-Day Dice: print two maps,
laminated them back to back, and play!

There are some great dice games there, although they all request
some custom dice crafting...

I don't think that is necessary... that's the reason why I inserted the list and not the games...

Not all of the games entered are on that list. You might have to refer back to the original thread for
others.

The rules need to be updated on just one thing, play to 200, not
100.

And if you'd like to pimp the game, you could include some pawns
you might have lying about.
my 2 cents,

Needed components:
- printed "board" - A4/letter paper, can be downloaded from Files
section,
- 30 white D6 dice,
- 1 red D6 dice (I have green one ),
- 6 dice cups (or even 10) - I use yogurt cups, some are from wax-
paper and some from plastic. Paper ones are better, they are
quieter a bit.

Ed Sherman You don't really need the board either -- we never play with one.

Game play involves secretly creating your own unique alien animal
and trying to capture your opponent's by guessing its attributes
(number of legs, color, pattern, eyes, etc.).

Also, I'm working on a fan expansion for this called Dawn of the
Dice of the Dead, which expands the basic system quite a bit. Still
needs some tweaking and testing, though. Hopefully that'll be
ready soon

Similar, yes. Both were inspired by the History.com Expedition game, but there are distinctions to
each.
Also, I just posted the file for Dawn of the Dice of the Dead for playtesting. Here's the link. That is
actually quite different than either d6 Shooters or Dice of the Living Dead, though it takes off from
the same basic system as Dice of the Living Dead.

James Barnes For quite awhile now, I've been waiting for my FLGS to get my pre-

It looks quite fun!

They replenish their stock weekly or bi-weekly. You just have to keep checking in with them. I
imagine if you have a particularly large order, say a block of 200 for each color, you could email
them to let them know to order more that cycle. I've corresponded with them through email before
and gotten good reply times.

Andrew Tullsen I thought about making 130 dice - for about 2 secs. There's a limit to what I'll do for a PnP game.

A dice game designed for the Chessex dice tribute contest (March
2010).
Julien Griffon
(captncavern) It's a 2/3-player game that uses 36 dice per player. The dice will be
placed on a 6x6 grid in order to achieve the maximum point total
on a greater number of lines (row or column) than the opponent.
The game was inspired by Take it Easy!, but allows for much more
interaction between players.
Christopher Thanks for your addition! Always nice to learn of a new (PnP) game!

Christopher If you like dice and are one of those who like spending precious
(teufen)
gaming time to build just another PnP game, you should check out
this fine Solo Zeppelin Steampunk Dice Game!
needed components:
- rules (9 pages)
- Zeppelin Dice & Crew Die (one page)
- Air Pirate Dice (one page)
- optional playing mat (one page)
I haven't printed this game yet (neither played it), but it's in my PnP-
queue right away!
