    EMERGENCY EYE WASH AND SHOWER MONTHLY INSPECTION CHECKLIST

    MONTH: FEBRUARY 2021

    Shower within 10 seconds of hazard


    Highly visible signage
    Station on same level as hazard; free of obstruction
    Flow of water starts in 1 second
    Valve remains open (Hands free operation)
    Eyewash protected from airborne contaminants
    Minimum flow
    Eyewash provide controlled flow to both eyes
    Flushing fluid to both eyes simultaneously rising to equal heights
    Proper heights for flushing fluid outlets
    Proper height for showerhead
    Shower flow pattern
    No obstructions within radius of center point of shower
    Combination shower; simultaneous operation
    Combination shower; simultaneous positioning
    Flushing fluid; tepid water ≤38◦C
