TEAM SELECTION

Criteria for selecting Implementation Steering Team Members:

Heads a major part of the organization (e.g., function, business unit, region) that must participate in
Implementation.
Has authority to fund project and provide other resources.
Is a key decision maker in most major organization changes.

Criteria for selecting an Implementation Project Manager:

Was a Design Team member.


Understands SHOULD Process and Recommendations thoroughly.
Demonstrated leadership, enthusiasm, and persistence on the Design Team.
Has proven skills in project management or is willing to learn.
Has credibility with both the Implementation Steering Team and Implementation Team Leaders.
Is available and willing to serve (this is often a full-time role).

Criteria for selecting Implementation Team Leaders:

Holds a position of authority or influence in the function related to Recommendations.


Is available and willing to serve (up to 50 percent of the time).
Has a reputation for positive influence on others.
Has credibility with senior management.

Criteria for selecting Implementation Team Members:

Possesses key technical expertise.


Can influence peers.
Can add details to SHOULD concepts to make them complete and feasible.
Is willing to serve.
