units(KN,m,C) as shown below then select Grid only.

Modify/show system and set data accordingly in Z direction.

the install location of SAP 2000 as shown below.

Now add new property and add the imported section of truss shown
below.

STEP NO 6: Define load pattern only take Dead load and exclude self
load.

STEP NO 7: Assign section of the truss from Draw frame section


command shown below.

STEP NO 8:Now assign support to truss shown below.

STEP NO 10: Now release partial moment from all joints of truss by
partial fixity command.

STEP NO 11: Now Run analysis by taking Model don’t run.

STEP NO 12:
Now to show Joint Reaction and Members forces and import the table to
excel sheet.

STEP NO 13: The deflected shape of the truss is given below.

STEP NO 14: From ‘’Display Menu’’ Click On Show Forces/Stresses,


the Menu will be Open, click on “Axial Forces’’ so that the Member
Forces will be displayed.Als0 excel sheet is attached for Reactions of
joints.
