Introduction
These labs were prepared to demonstrate how to View Availability of On hand in Mobile.

They were developed to assist an application support analyst by:

» Navigation through the Oracle Warehouse Management (WMS) telnet session.

» All the options of each LPN transaction listed.
» The labs will only show the support perspective information like LPN Diagnostics

Perquisites
Analyst should have a basic understanding of the below modules so that the labs can be well followed.

» Oracle Inventory
» System Administrator

Typographic Conventions Used in Oracle Application Navigation Paths in this document

(N) Whse Mgmt >Warehousing>LPN Transactions>Pack > (B) Pack

This simplified path translates to the following:

Choose Whse Mgmt Responsibility > Navigate to Warehousing then Select LPN Transactions. After selecting LPN
Transactions you will see more options, select Pack. After entering all the required details click on ‘Pack’ button to pack
the contents into an LPN.

Setups
In this lesson we will cover on how to view the Total On hand, Total Available On hand based on the LPN.

We will create a new item, receive the quantity, and verify the Availability from both mobile and forms.

Then we will reserve some on hand and again recheck the availability from both mobile and forms.

Create Item

In this section we will create item.

1. Navigate to ‘Warehouse Manager’ responsibility > Setup > Material Setup > Items > Master Items

2. Create Item – ‘XX-201’ in Master Organization.

3. Apply ‘Finished Good’ template.

4. Assign the item to Organization ‘XW1’

Perform Miscellaneous Receipt

In this section we will cover steps required to perform Miscellaneous Receipt Transaction to increase the on hand for the
above item into an LPN

1. Login to the mobile telnet application and choose responsibility – ‘Whse Mgmt’

2. Navigate to Warehousing > Inventory > Receipts > Misc Receipt

3. Select organization as ‘XW1’ in Org code column

4. In the ‘Misc Rcpt Txn’ page enter the following details

 Select any Account in the ‘Acct’ field

 Enter/ Generate ([CTRL]+[G]) a new LPN – ‘LPN217XX’

 In the ‘Item’ field Enter/ Select ‘XX-201’

 In the ‘Sub’ field Enter/ Select – ‘XX BULK’

  In the ‘Loc’ field Enter/ Select – ‘XXBK.1.1’

 In the ‘Qty’ field Enter – 10

5. Press ‘Done’ button.

LPN Inquiry before reservation

In this section we will cover about inquiring the status and contents of above LPN ‘LPN217XX’

1. Navigate to Inquiry > LPN > Enter LPN as ‘LPN217XX’

2. Press ‘Find LPN’

1. Verify the following for this LPN

o Organization is ‘XW1’
o Sub inventory is ‘XX BULK’
o Locator is ‘XXBK.1.1
o State is ‘In Inventory’

 3. Press ‘LPN Contents’ to see the LPN Contents

2. Verify the following details for the LPN apart from Sub inventory and Locator
o Cost Group – ‘CG-1779’
o UOM – ‘Ea’
o On Hand – 10
o Available Quantity – 10

Material Workbench before reservation

Following is the Material Workbench Screen before reservation.

1. Login to Applications and (N) Warehouse Manager > Inquiry > Material Workbench.
2. Select Organization ‘XW1’.

3. On ‘LPN’ Tab give ‘LPN From’ and ‘LPN To’ as – ‘LPN217XX’

4. Press Find.

 5. Drill down till item ‘XX-201’ is shown on the left side.

6. Press ‘Availability’ button.

3. Verify the following details

o Organization – ‘XW1’
o Item/ Revision – ‘XX-201’
o Sub inventory – ‘XX BULK’
o Locator – ‘XXBK.1.1..’
o Cost Group – ‘CG-1779’
o Innermost LPN – ‘LPN217XX’
o Total Quantity – 10 (UOM – Ea)
o Available to Reserve – 10 (UOM – Ea)
o Available to Transact – 10 (UOM – Ea)

Create Reservations
In this section we will create sample reservation on this item.

1. Login to Applications and (N) Warehouse Manager > Inventory Management > Material Maintenance >
Reservations.

2. Press button ‘New’

 3. Select ‘Default Demand Source’ as ‘Inventory’

4. Select Organization as ‘XW1’.

5. In the Demand Tab enter the following details
a. Organization – XW1

b. Item – ‘XX-201’

c. Type – ‘Inventory’
d. Name – ‘Mobile ATT ATR Test’

e. Need by Date – ’22-OCT-2017’

f. UOM – ‘Ea’
g. Quantity - 3

 6. In the Supply Tab enter the following details

a. Subinventory – XX BULK

b. Locator – ‘XXBK.1.1..’

c. LPN – ‘LPN217XX’

1. Navigate to Inquiry > LPN > Enter LPN as ‘LPN217XX’

2. Press ‘Find LPN’

3. Verify the following for this LPN

o Organization is ‘XW1’
o Sub inventory is ‘XX BULK’
o Locator is ‘XXBK.1.1
o State is ‘In Inventory’

The EBS Inventory Item Analyzer is a self-service health-check script that reviews item related data, analyzes current
configurations and settings for the environment, and provides solutions for known issues, feedback and
recommendations on best practices.
Below is the output details for the Item and the reservations created in this lab. The analyzer is helpful in gathering all the data at once.
All the data related to the Item is captured.

LPN Diagnostics
LPN diagnostics for the LPN used in the above transaction.

From Desktop:
 The diagnostic is included in R12.1.3 with Logistics RUP5 and higher (or with Patch 12883282.R12.WMS.B).
 It is also included in R12.2. See the following note for details:

Using Query:
 You can use the following note to obtain the LPN check there is a standalone script available in the note.

From Desktop:

Navigation:
1. Switch the responsibility to ‘Application Diagnostics’
2. Select Diagnose
3. Select the “Select Applications” Tab
4. Select search by drop down and select Application Short Name from the list of values and press tab key in the
key Board.
5. Enter “WMS” and press the Go (B).
6. Check the box next to WMS and click the Select button on the right side Top of the Screen.
7. Expand the LPN section.
8. Select the check box next to “LPN Transaction” and Press the Execute Button at the bottom of the screen.

 9. Select the responsibility id from list of values (Select Warehouse Manager Responsibility)
10. Enter the License Plate Number as ‘LPN190XX’
11. Press ‘Submit’ button

12. Request is completed. You can either view or download the report
