Pride in the sense of community is in the roots of the
city. Bluffton as a whole is about tourism, beauty,
culture and high quality of life.
The intent of the project is to design an affordable
co-living complex that is engaging for all age groups
and have public areas for interaction with the city
of Bluffton as well.

The human and behavioral study

and indoor, private and public, formal
and informal spaces are drawn between
the units and the communal areas

PROGRAM -
Designing an Interpretation center for the Karle caves - a masterpiece of rock cut
cave architecture has helped me understand how to zone public spaces and design
an efficient place that will entertain the public and also serve the purpose.

This area is usually attened by senior citizens which gave me the challenge to work
with ramps and make areas that ensured the rest and safety of visitors.

Designing this apartment helped me understand the requirements and the luxury one
might need inside a home that is also his workplace. According to the client, being
an event manager his requirements included a storage/showcase of all his sets and
models, a workplace and a meeting area, pantry and wardrobe.

MOOD BOARD -

COLOR CHOICE PALETTE -

I have tried understanding Georgian style of interiors and inculcating it in my design. A pantry that
can be accessed in a unique way from all spaces, a spiral staircase that leads to a luxurious
bed space which has a vast wardrobe and a resting space on the other side by the window.

It is a free flowing design with a color combination of dark timber and grey shades forming
a bachelor’s solitude.

• Filter the references and see what the client requirements are. Also compare with which side will this
face and how the climaate affects the same.
• Present various options for the facade.

LEARNINGS -

• Learning the functions of a parametric design and one that is double skinned. Understanding
the same with climat ein consideration and chooing materials that would suit best.
