Q1. Development of B-cells in the bone marrow:

1. Lymphoid progenitor cells receive signals from bone marrow

stromal cells

2. After earliest expression of CD19 , the lymphoid progenitor cells

convert into Progenitor B-cells ( Pro B-cells )

3. Along with CD19, after successful arrangement of heavy and

surrogate light chains ; the progenitor B-cells are now called
Precursor B-cells ( Pre B-cells )

4. After expression of membrane bound IgM ; the precursor B-cell is

now called Immature B-cell

5. Which will now leave bone marrow and enter into the periphery
to become mature and activated B-cell
Q2.
Role of T-cells in regulation of survival of B-cells and thus
Control formation of clonal antibodies:
The peptide: MHC class II complex can be recognized by
antigen-specific armed helper T cells, stimulating them to make
proteins that, in turn, cause the B cell to proliferate and its
progeny to differentiate into antibody-secreting cells.
