don't change ANY part of it (including this small introduction). Also,
you can print it but only for use at your home, you may NEVER sell
this stuff or else you will make me really mad and maybe I won't work
anymore! Finally, if you want to use this faq on your site you have to

0. Introduction
This game is quite easy and even if you don't know anything about japanese
language you can manage to do it, but with some help you may have an even
easier time playing this. The game is really easy, and I doubt most people
would even need to read this document, but I thought about giving it a
try, and I hope that Saint Seiya fans enjoy it!
This game is mainly a remake of the 2 old games for NES, but some things
were added and they surely make the game more enjoyable.

1. Main Menu AND controls

The main menu in this game is quite easy to understand, mainly because it
is fully in english.
GAME START
CONTINUE
VS MODE
"GAME START" is a new game option.
"CONTINUE" allows you to continue playing, but you will have to get the
passwords, and since you are reading this faq I doubt I know japanese,
turning your life into an hard time when it comes for you to write down
the passwords. Don't get me wrong, it is doable, but it will be hard for
you to do it.
"VS MODE" is an option that would possibly let you fight a friend who also
had this game and another console, but this won't be covered in the game
since I didn't had the chance to try it.

As for the controls, those are:

A - skips text, chooses options, attacks
B - returns to last screen on the menus, runs
Y1 - does nothing
Y2 - does nothing
Y3 OR Y4 - goes to menu
PAUSE - pauses game
START - pauses game

And once you reach the menu, you will see 4 different options (this is not
a translation!):
[EQUIP/UNEQUIP ARMOR] [STATS] [TRAVEL] [PASSWORD]
"EQUIP/UNEQUIP ARMOR" allows your character to equip (and unequip) its
Cloth, but remember that having it equipped will drain your Cosmo.
"STATS" allows you to see your current stats and improve them, using your
current EXP.
"TRAVEL" lets you instantly go to another location, but only some of them
will be available at each time.
"PASSWORD" will let you see your current password, which isn't very useful
for you since it would take you a long time to write down.

In the battles, the controls will be:

FIGHT EXIT
TALK PARTNER
"FIGHT" uses an attack, which will depend on your current stats.
"EXIT" just quits the current battle.
"TALK" does it with your current opponent, which generally just raises
your cosmo
"PARTNER" calls upon your friends, if you have any with you at that moment

2. Walkthrough
Ok, first you just need to start your new game, input your birthday (you
should to it in a 19YY/MM/DD form, but that's easily understood), which
won't change the game at all. If you are wondering, it just provides some
features that are only interesting for Japanese users, and everyone else
shouldn't even care about it. Then, press END to continue and start the
real game.
After the cutscene with Marin, you will have to fight Cassius (yeah, I
think that's his name, but please understand I am not a big fan of the
series), which will be done easily by Seiya. At the end, he will send his
opponent flying and win the Pegasus Cloth.
Another scene with Marin, and now... Shaina appears, you use Pegasus
Meteor and finish by destroying part of his mask, revealing her face and
making her go away in shame.
After another cutscene, you will find yourself in front of the Kido's
mansion, which you should enter by pressing up. You will see Saori's
bodyguard
front of (well, or at least I think he is her bodyguard!) in
the entrance, talk to him by touching him and then move to the right,
entering the third door and talking to Saori.
Now, exit the mansion and proceed to the right, going up in the first
street and proceeding until the end of that street. Now, enter that
house and talk to Seiya's friend, then return to the main street (the one
with the mansion) and all to the right until the Colosseum.
Equip your Cloth and then head for Dragon Shiryu and your first real
battle. This will be very easy, just pick "FIGHT" and raise the APow,
MPow, DPow and HPow to the maximum, choose it and then pick the option in
the left. Probably Shiryu will strike first, but then you will use Pegasus
Meteor and defeat him.
Now, Cygnus Hyoga will appear, but you are currently too weak to fight
him. Therefore, return to Seiya's friend house and talk to her, as she
will fully heal him, but be sure to take off your Cloth before going out
or you will be spending your Cosmo. After doing it, return to the
Colosseum, equip your Cloth and face your current opponent, using the same
technique that you used to defeat Shiryu. Seeing that (strangely) Hyoga is
much stronger than your previous opponent, it may require two attacks from
your Pegasus Meteor to defeat him.
Then, you can heal yourself and return to the Colosseum once more for the
battle against Andromeda Shun. Talking in the first round will reduce his
Life, making your life easier and providing that you can defeat him with
just one attack from Pegasus Meteor.
As it was supposed to happen, Phoenix Ikki will appear and attack Shun.
You will find yourself outside the Colosseum, so just proceed into Seiya's
friend house for an healing sequence, defeating some enemies in the way
for extra EXP and Cosmo. Now, you can access the menu and press "STATS" to
improve some of your stats. You can use your EXP to raise your stats and
your cosmo to increase your life (or you can use your life to increase
your cosmo, but that isn't generally a very good idea...), so just improve
the stats of your character using the EXP and then proceed into Saori's
mansion, reaching her in the third room on the right. After talking to
her, you can use your cosmo to improve your life, until a maximum value of
40.
Now, you should "TRAVEL" to the third location and press the second
option, which will make a small scene appear. Proceed all to the right,
but be careful with the falling rocks which will damage you. At the end
you will find Aires no Mu and you should press the first option twice. You
will then be in front of Saori's mansion, so be sure to "TRAVEL" to the
first location and follow my guidelines to avoid some trouble: go right,
up, right,
left, up, right
up onuntil

on the skull, left, and when you see Ikki be sure to equip your Cloth and
increase your life and stats up to the maximum, then go talk to him.

Once
you just
againneed to boost your attacks to the maximum and strike
him like you did to your previous opponents, two or three times will be
enough and then you will see a Silver Saint (no idea about his name,
sorry
) which will make the cavern collapse. Ikki will tell you to leave
and then start fighting this Saint, but then you will find yourself once
more in front of Saori's mansion.
Enter it and talk to her, she will once more be found in the third room in
the right. Now, exit the mansion and you will see the same saint from the
cave waiting you, be sure to increase your stats and life to the maximum
and then fight him, but don't forget to take your Cloth with you. Be sure
to "TALK" to him in the first round and then attack him, or else your
attacks won't even damage him. You will be able to stand his attacks, but
luckly you will kill him in the second attack at full power.
You should then unequip your Cloth and pay a visit to Seiya's friend, who
will fully heal him like before. Now, go to the Colosseum, increase your
stats and fight that Saint once more, proceeding as before, but this time
you won't even need to talk to him in the first round, causing him to be
defeated with 3 full power Pegasus Meteor, as he can easily defend the
second one (or he won't, if you talk to him before unleashing it). You
will then see another small scene with Saori, so be sure to enter her
mansion and talk to her as usual.
Then, pay once more a visit to Seiya's friend and really talk to her (by
touching her), then proceed to the room in the back (you can go there by
turning to the right of the television) BUT EQUIP YOUR CLOTH BEFORE GOING,
since Lizard Misty, a silver saint, will be expecting you.
Marin will warn you, but then Misty will appear and attack you, which you
can easily defeat with 2 attacks at full power. After winning, unequip
your Cloth and go to the Colosseum, for another scene with Saori in which
she reveals who she really is. After a somehow big chat sequence, the
Saints will be alone and Saori will be kidnapped by some crows.
A cutscene with Ikki and the rest of the guys will take place, Shiryu will
blind himself to defeat a Silver Saint and you will finally find yourself
in front of Saori's mansion, once more. Enter it and talk to Saori in the
usual room. After chatting, go to Seiya's friend house, you will find
Shaina in your way and Leo Aioria will then appear, causing Shaina to get
seriously injured while protecting Seiya. His attacks won't even bother
Aioria, but Saori will appear and save you. After this, go say goodbye to
Seiya's friend and "TRAVEL" to the Sanctuary, which should be the first
location.
A Saint will throw lots of arrows at you, Seiya will then defeat him but
Saori was hit! That's not good! :-\
Well, you will now need to travel to the left while defeating those low
level Saints, and soon you will find the first Temple: the Aires one! Mu
won't fight you and he will even be nice to you, but you will then have
to continue further to the left, until you find Aldebaran in the Taurus
Temple.
DON'T FIGHT HIM RIGHT AWAY, keep on attacking those low class Saints that
seem to hang around until you have 999 Cosmo, and then use the EXP and
Cosmo to raise your stats and life as much as possible. When you feel
ready, equip your Cloth and join Aldebaran in his Temple. As before,
raise all your attacks to the maximum and strike him, hopefully he will
go down with 2 full power Pegasus Meteor.
Once more, proceed to the left, until the Gemini temple with someone
inside it. Hyoga won't be able to attack it and will even be thrown into
another dimension (or something like that!), and Shun won't cause any
damage in the first three turns (I used 3 full powered Andromeda Chains!),
but then he will hit the Pope (coff I know his name but I can't spoil it
coff)
. Hyoga will be in the Aquarius Temple, but he will be frozen...
You should now continue to the right until the Cancer Temple, where you
will find Deathmask. A blind Shiryu will have to fight, and after 3 full
powered attacks he will also be down.
Once again you can continue to the right until the Leo Temple, with Aioria
in it. Seiya will have to fight him, but he will be easily down with the
help from 2 full powered Pegasus Meteor.
To the Right once more, this time to the Virgo Temple, where Shaka will be
waiting for Shun, who will be easily defeated (nope, you can't win here!),
but then Ikki will appear. With his full powered attack you will be able
to inflict some damage, but talk to him in the second turn and you will
probably be able to hit the finishing attack in that once, making you able
to continue your trip to the right.
Next it is the empty Libra temple, where Dohko will be heard and you will
release Hyoga from his frozen prision, but you won't have to face any
battle at all.
After resting in this non-battle temple, continuing to the right will make
you face Milo in the Scorpion Temple, who will face Hyoga. You can't
damage your enemy in the first turn, but apart from that you can defeat
him by using your attack at full power in the second and third turns.
It is almost sunset and you must continue to the right until the empty
temple of Sagitarius, so you can just continue (after having your Cosmo
raised by the Cloth in the not-so-empty temple) to the left until you
reach the temple of Capricorn, where Shura will have to be confronted by
Shiryu. Your first, second and third attacks won't seem to damage him, but
at the forth full-power attack he will go down.
Continue to the left until you reach the Aquarius Temple, where Kamus will
be waiting for Hyoga. You can fully damage him in your first attack, but
the second one will be avoided, but he won't avoid the third one and you
will hit him for the win.
It's night, but you must continue to the left until you face your opponent
in the Pisces Temple, where Shun will face Aphrodite (a Golden Saint, not
the goddess, hum? :P ). Hit him with all you've got for 4 or 5 turns, and
then an event will happen and you will win. Be careful since this may turn
into an hard battle, but you must keep on trying and eventually you will
win it.
After that last battle you will enter in a cutscene with Saga and Seiya,
which will end with the both of them fighting. Seiya won't even be able to
damage him, but when he gets defeated, Ikki appears. Strangely the most
powerful of the bronze Saints won't also be able to damage Saga, and he
even gets defeated with the same easy fashion that Seiya was. However,
Seiya reappears and he is stronger than ever, thanks to the help of his
friends and Saori. Now, just attack with everything you've got, and in a
couple turns everything will end.
You will see an ending cutscene and then... THE END!
3. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where can I get this game?
A: Hum... no idea... Japan?!

Q: Why do you called character X "she" when it should be "he"?

A: Or vice-versa? Well, on the few Saint Seiya episodes I've seen, they
say that all the female Saints had to use a mask. Therefore, if I don't
see someone using a mask, I will him a "he".

Q: Are there any secrets in this game?

A: I don't think so, sorry...

Q: Is this game really perfect?

A: In my oppinion, no.
