Personal Statement
A marketing and communications manager with a breath of experience in both developing
and implementing successful online and offline growth strategies in the voluntary sector. A
capable all round communicator, I am equally adept at planning integrated product launches
or writing press releases. I often write guest articles sharing communications ideas and best
practice, my most recent article was for the Guardian’s Voluntary Sector Network. A digital
communications specialist, I have developed KnowHow NonProfit into a strong voluntary
sector presence on Twitter with 3000 followers.

I believe in making charities ‘networked organisations’ whereby communications flow between

the charity and service recipients, to help provide a better service and more engaged
stakeholders. I am passionate about volunteering and I am currently the lead marketing and
communications trustee for youth led Charity the Young Achievers Trust. In this role I have
featured in both Third Sector Magazine and TrusteeNet.
