Program Outcomes
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course is designed for the business students to learn the basic concepts and principles of law in of law in general. It covers (a) obligations, their nature,
elements, sources, classification, effects and modes of extinction; and (b) contracts, their nature, elements, effects, form, interpretation, rescission, nullity,
annulment and enforcement. This course gives the student an understanding of the legal concepts, theories and rules governing the law of the obligations and
contracts which are encountered by students in the field of business. At the end of the course, the students are expected to understand and define legal concepts,
theories and rules, procedures in entering, demanding and fulfilling an obligation and likewise to have competence in preparation, interpretation, understanding
and presentation of obligations and contracts.

Major Exam - 40%
• Major output corresponding to the terminal course outcome
Class Standing - 60%
• Graded modular/online activities and outputs corresponding to the enabling course outcomes.
Policies:
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, remote learning instead of residential (face-to- face) learning shall be conducted until further advisories from CHED and the
government.
• Remote learning can either involve online learning and other flexible independent learning activities like modules, learning packets, projects, and other
forms of independent study.
• Online learning may be synchronous (for students with digital connectivity) using Google Classroom and Google Meet, Zoom, Facebook Messenger and
video apps such as Youtube and FB Lives; or asynchronous (used for students with lack of online connectivity) with the teacher sending lectures and
assignments via e-mails or text messages.
• Student participation in online lectures will not be required. Students who cannot join these sessions will be given copies of the presentation.

• Long and short quizzes will still be given online or other flexible means. These quizzes will be made available in a certain timeframe until all the students
are able to comply.
• Midterm and Final Examinations will be delivered via flexible means. The timeframe of the availability of the major examinations will be made flexible to
adjust to the challenges encountered by students with limited connectivity. For students with no internet connection, an arrangement will be made by the
instructor to deliver an alternative requirement in lieu of the major examinations.
• Major outputs will be submitted online or via courier and academic integrity of all outputs shall be observed.
• All other activities shall be posted in a learning platform recommended by the university.
• Deadlines for the submission of outputs shall not be rigid and strict due to the nature of internet connectivity in other localities where students reside.
• Consultation hours will be done via flexible modalities
