Students will be able to understand the context of Shakespearian works.
Students will know some of the key characteristics of the Globe and Shakespearian
productions.
Students will know the meaning of key Shakespearian language and puns.

Anticipatory Set: (15 min)


Philosophical Chairs: Students will stand and ask a series of questions and depending on the
answer (Agree or Disagree), students will pick a side of the room and sit in a chair. Cold calls
will be used to ask students why they made their choice.

 Teenagers cannot understand what true love really is
 It is possible to fall in love at first sight
 You should always side with family over others
