Economic climate
Calamba City known today as the “Richest City in CALABARZON. Positive forces include the
generally prosperous economy that is current in place, full employment, rising wages, and low
inflation, leading more people to be able and willing to spend money and to get away for some
time. The close locality of Calamba offer an affordable alternative to a flyaway destination.

The city is known as the "Spring Resort Capital of the Philippines“ because of its numerous hot
spring resorts, which are mostly located in Barangays Pansol, Bucal, Bagong Kalsada, and
Lingga. Laguna has plenty to offer in terms of water activities, Laguna is also famous for being
home to the country’s national hero, Jose Rizal. In Calamba, a shrine was erected in his memory,
and is open to all interested parties who are curious about the polyglot’s humble origins.
Weather patterns
The location has a tropical climate, main 2 seasons dry and rain the weather are relatively cool.
The huge amount of green zone helps increase landscaping and to reduce heat. Calamba has a
tropical monsoon climate (type Am), with a short dry season and a longer rainy season. The dry
season lasts only from January to April, and the rest of the year is characterized by high levels of
rainfall.
