Ward Mission Plan
2021
The Savior’s great commission: Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

Purpose: Find opportunities to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with those we
meet, study with, live with, work and socialize with so that they can claim the blessings of
church participation and receive the blessings of eternal life.

Goal 1: Everyone will meet and know  To help us accomplish our goal, we will seek out and make
their neighbors on all sides of their  an effort to introduce ourselves to at least 1 neighbor each

they do and find out ways that we can help them.
(active members, non-active members,
and non-members)

Goal 2: Each family has their own  To help us accomplish our goal, families create a plan of
“mission plan.” Focus on sharing the  simple ways they can share the gospel as a family. Create
gospel in simple ways!  goals for what they can do together. As a family, what can
you do to #lighttheworld all year long?

(Members don’t need to knock on doors. They can do simple
things like make brownies and give them to a new move in, write a
card to someone they are thinking about or something that only
they as a family could do.)

Goal 3: The ward will provide one  To help us with this goal, the ward missionaries will visit

the ward have referrals they can also text the full-time

missionaries or contact Brother Proud, Ward Mission
Leader.

Goal 4: Everyone welcomes visitors  Where possible, a visitor to the church (non-member or
without hesitation.  member of the church) should never leave without being
welcomed by or introduced to at least 10 people. This needs
to be the efforts of all members, more than just the ward
leaders or ward missionaries.

Goal 5: Invite others to come and help.  To help us with this goal, we will build stronger relationships
Elder Uchtdorf teaches us that we can  with our neighbors and ministering families to be able to
invite others to come and help us serve  know their needs and invite those around us to “Come and
help.” (We should especially include the invitation to
