Start By:

A. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock -
Separate and Connect".

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation
purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep
contaminants from entering the system.

1. Raise blade assembly (1). Use suitable blocking in order to support blade assembly (1) and
circle assembly (2) on both sides.

2. Remove top plates (3). Remove shims (4) and top wear plate (5). Repeat this step for the
opposite side.

3. Fully extend side shift cylinder (6) to the right. Move the blade to the forward position. Position
suitable cribbing under side shift cylinder (6), as shown.

4. Attach a suitable lifting device to the rod end of side shift cylinder (6). Install Tooling (A) to
pin assembly (8). Remove bolt (7). Use Tooling (A) in order to remove pin assembly (8).

5. Completely retract side shift cylinder (6) and remove the suitable lifting device.

6. Attach a suitable lifting device to blade assembly (1). The weight of blade assembly (1) is
approximately 4,763 kg (10,500 lb). Use the suitable lifting device and a suitable lift truck in
order to position blade assembly (1).

7. Attach a second suitable lifting device to blade assembly (1). Use the suitable lifting devices in
order to remove blade assembly (1) from the machine.

8. Remove bottom plates (10). Remove bottom wear plate (9). Repeat this step for the opposite
side.

Installation Procedure

1. Install bottom wear plate (9). Install bottom plates (10). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

Note: The bottom wear plates (9) must be installed with the long side to the rear of the
machine.

2. Attach a suitable lifting device to blade assembly (1). The weight of blade assembly (1) is
approximately 4,763 kg (10,500 lb). Use the suitable lifting device in order to install blade
assembly (1) to the machine.

3. Reposition the suitable lifting device on blade assembly (1). Use a suitable lift truck and the
suitable lifting device in order to position blade assembly (1) .

4. Attach a suitable lifting device to sideshift cylinder (6). Extend sideshift cylinder (6). Install pin
assembly (8) and bolt (7) .

5. Install top wear plate (5). Find the position with the minimum clearance between wear plate (5)
and the rails by sideshifting the blade through the full range. Install shims (4) in order to obtain
0.13 mm (0.005 inch) to 0.90 mm (0.035 inch) clearance between the rails and wear plate (5).
Install top plates (3). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

Note: The top wear plates (5) must be installed with the long side to the front of the machine.

End By: Disconnect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame
Lock - Separate and Connect".
