A full list of all 'U' codes and a short description of the cause as to why the code was generated.

Note: Not all error codes and checks will be found on all units. The build specification of the unit will determine what
is available and what is displayed.

Fault

An error has occurred during calibration. The calibration procedure cannot continue, please key OFF.
Possible Failures:
1. Short or open circuit solenoid for clutch No.1 is detected.
Err 2. Short or open circuit solenoid for clutch No.2 is detected.
3. Short or open circuit solenoid for clutch No.3 is detected.
4. Short or open circuit solenoid for clutch No.4 is detected.
Note: The vehicle can be driven without calibration - Error codes for the faulty solenoid will appear.
The front axle potentiometer is open circuit.
Auto calibration procedure will not work.
U01 Check wiring harness.
Change potentiometer.
Potentiometer value (0-999) < 51
The front axle potentiometer threshold is higher than the set limit.
Look at the potentiometer value (0-999), if value > 970
U02
Check potentiometer installation.
Change potentiometer.
The front axle potentiometer has a short circuit.
Auto calibration procedure will not work.

1. Open circuit for the handbrake feed into the transmission module.

2. Faulty handbrake switch.
3. Switched 12V supply fuse blown.
Note: Use the H5 switch diagnostics to detect if the handbrake is connected,
U21 The engine RPM is below 1150, increase the throttle setting.
Possible failures:
1. Operator has not set the correct engine speed.
2. Open circuit for the engine speed sensor going to the cluster. Mechanical engines only.
3. Instrument cluster is not powered.
4. Broken CAN.
NOTE: Use the H9 in the transmission module to see if the engine speed is being detected.
The engine RPM is above 1350 or Auto Trans Switch not depressed.
Possible failures:
U22
1. Auto trans switch not depressed when carrying out flywheel torque sensor calibration.
2. Operator has not set the correct engine speed.
The shuttle lever is in neutral, shift it to forward.
Possible failures:
1. Operator has not selected forward on the shuttle lever.
U23
2. Open circuit between the shuttle lever and the transmission module.
3. Switched 12V supply fuse blown.
NOTE: Use the H5 switch diagnostics to detect if the switch is connected.
U24 The 4/5 shift lever is not in 5, shift it to 5.Not used.
The range lever is in low, shift out of low.
Possible failures:
1. Operator has not moved the range lever out of neutral.
U25
2. The low range switch is faulty.
3. The gear linkage is out of adjustment.
NOTE: Use the H5 switch diagnostics to detect if the switch is connected.
The clutch pedal is not up, release the clutch pedal.
Possible failures:
U26 1. Operator has not released the clutch pedal.
2. The clutch pot / linkage is sticking or broken.
NOTE: Use the H9 in the transmission module to see if the clutch input is OK.ý
The C3 calibration is too low.
Possible failures:
U27 1. RPM dropped too soon.
2. Clutch pressure is not being controlled properly.
3. Engine speed adjusted whilst completing calibration.
The C3 calibration is too high.
Possible failures:
U28 1. RPM did not drop.
2. No pressure to clutch.
3. Mechanical failure breaking the torque path.
The C4 calibration is too low.
Possible failures:
U29 1. RPM dropped too soon.
2. Clutch pressure is not being controlled properly.
3. Engine speed adjusted whilst completing calibration.
U30 The C4 calibration is too high.
Possible failures:
1. RPM did not drop.
2. No pressure to clutch.
3. Mechanical failure breaking the torque path.
Wheel speed has been sensed.
Possible failures:
U31 1. Handbrake not applied.
2. Brakes not working.
NOTE: If the brakes are OK move the vehicle forward slightly and repeat cal.
The C1 calibration is too low.
Possible failures:
U32 1. RPM dropped too soon.
2. Clutch pressure is not being controlled properly.
3. Engine speed adjusted whilst completing calibration.
The C1 calibration is too high.ý
Possible failures:
U33 1. RPM did not drop.
2. No pressure to clutch.
3. Mechanical failure breaking the torque path.
The C2 calibration is too low.
Possible failures:
U34 1. RPM dropped too soon.
2. Clutch pressure is not being controlled properly.
3. Engine speed adjusted whilst completing calibration.
The C2 calibration is too high.
Possible failures:
U35 1. RPM did not drop.
2. No pressure to clutch.
3. Mechanical failure breaking the torque path.

The synchroniser pot signal is out of range for reverse.
Possible failures:
1. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
U37 2. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.
3. Synchroniser assembly is very tight / sticky.
NOTE: Use the voltmeter to check the synchroniser PTO signal. If OK then repeat calibration to free up the
synchroniser.
The synchroniser pot signal is out of range for forward.
Possible failures:
1. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
U38 2. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.
3. Synchroniser assembly is very tight / sticky.
NOTE: Use the voltmeter to check the synchroniser PTO signal. If OK then repeat calibration to free up the
synchroniser.
U39 The synchroniser did not move toward reverse, even at at max pressure.
Possible failures:
1. The forward and reverse solenoid connectors need to be swapped.
2. The reverse solenoid is faulty.
3. No oil pressure to shift the synchroniser.
4. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
5. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.
NOTE: Remove the transmission top cover and watch the synchroniser movement to help detect failure or use
H9 and look at the potentiometer signal in voltmeter.
The synchroniser did not move toward forward, even at at max pressure
Possible failures:
1. The forward and reverse solenoid connectors need to be swapped.
2. The reverse solenoid is faulty.
U40 3. No oil pressure to shift the synchroniser.
4. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
5. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.
NOTE: Remove the transmission top cover and watch the synchroniser movement to help detect failure or use
H9 and look at the potentiometer signal in voltmeter.
The synchroniser pot signal is out of range for 4 position.
Possible failures:
1. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
U41 2. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.
3. Synchroniser assembly is very tight / sticky.
NOTE: Use the voltmeter to check the synchroniser PTO signal. If OK then repeat calibration to free up the
synchroniser.
The synchroniser pot signal is out of range for 5 position.
Possible failures:
1. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
U42 2. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.
3. Synchroniser assembly is very tight / sticky.
NOTE: Use the voltmeter to check the synchroniser PTO signal. If OK then repeat calibration to free up the
synchroniser.
The synchroniser did not move toward 4.
Possible failures:
1. The four and five solenoid connectors need to be swapped.
2. The four solenoid is faulty.
U43 3. No oil pressure to shift the synchroniser.
4. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
5. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.
NOTE: Remove the transmission top cover and watch the synchroniser movement to help detect failure or use
H9 and look at the potentiometer signal in voltmeter.
The synchroniser did not move toward 5, even at at max pressure.
Possible failures:
1. The four and five solenoid connectors need to be swapped.
2. The five solenoid is faulty.
U44 3. No oil pressure to shift the synchroniser.
4. Synchroniser potentiometer has been painted through production.
5. Synchroniser potentiometer / connector has been damaged.

1. RPM dropped too soon.
2. Clutch pressure is not being controlled properly.

The 50 Km/h clutch 5 calibration values are too High.
Possible failures:
U46 1. RPM did not drop.
2. No pressure to the clutch.
3. Mechanical failure breaking the torque path.
The 50 Km/h clutch 5 solenoid is not present.

1. Open circuit to clutch 5 solenoid.

1. Check engine speed sensor is fitted.

Possible failures:

3. Check switch connection to module.

1. PTO started too early, repeat calibration procedure.
