1 scope
1.1 This specification describes the material and
construction procedures for asphalt paving and
surfacing of roads and paved are:

2 ENGINEER
Where the term Engineer is used it shall mean a KNPC
Engineer or his authorized representative who has the
authority to inspect and approve all portions of the
contractor's work.
3. DRAWINGS
Paving shall be in conformance with lines, grades and
typical cross-sections on the project drawings.
4° SURVEY
‘The paving contractor shall be responsible for all surveying
work to establish grades and dimensions. It is the
Fesponsibility of the contractor to bring his control from
existing survey monuments shown on project drawings.
5S MATERIALS
Material requirements shall be in conformance with the

6 CONSTRUCTION

7 INSPECTION, TESTING AND APPROVALS

All work and materials under this specification and
the project dravings shall be subjected to inspection
and acceptance by the Engineer. it ie the

Specifications and the project drawings.

PROTECPION OF EXISTING FACILITIES
‘The contractor shall make every effort to protect existing
faciliti Any such installations which are shown on the
plan or whose location could be reasonably inferred, and
which become damaged or broken by the contractor, shall be
repaired or replaced by him.
CLEAN-UP
The contractor shall clean up the job site prior to
acceptance of the work. All dirt, spoil, and debria of
any nature shall be removed and the site shall present a
clean appearance.
