THE PROJECT and its BACKGROUND

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT

The first commercial coin-operated vending machine was found in London,

England. Vending or automatic retailing is known for its process of selling merchandise

via automated machine. The said vending machine continue to spread into different

places or country and there are lot of people upgrading the vending machine and make

different kinds of vending machines like coffee vending machine, soft drinks vending

machine and the concept of vending machine that is needed to create a new product to

use as commercial coin-operated vending machine. As time goes by, the production of

different vending machine is continually increasing.

The researchers look for the common problem in the daily discussion and

gathered information’s and conduct an interview to the professors at Batangas State

University JPLPC Malvar Campus by asking the question “What do you prefer buying a

new whiteboard marker or buying an ink to refill the whiteboard marker?”. Thus, the

common problem that they encounter is the refilling of the whiteboard marker.

The researchers came up in the product called VIR “Refill Me Baby One More

Time”. It is an innovation of vending machine because its concept on how it works was

used. By dropping a coin into the coin slot the vending machine start to dispense an ink.

The VIR “Refill Me Baby One More Time” is not just like the ordinary vending machine it

is smaller than the usual vending machine because it is only dispense an ink to refill a
whiteboard marker. Also, in the bottom of the VIR “Refill Me Baby One More Time”

where the ink comes out there is a tube that serve as the holder of the whiteboard

marker to avoid the leakage of an ink in the hands when the vending machine is not

functioning properly.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this product the VIR “Refill Me Baby One More Time” include the

following;

 To make the ink vending machine effective

 To lessen the difficulty of refilling a whiteboard marker

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Ink Company

This product serves for the ink company to have a new commercial coined

operating machine and they can sell them in the industry to have an additional source of

income.

Teachers

This product helps the teacher to be practical. Instead, of buying a new

whiteboard marker they can just refill it instead. Also, with the help of this innovation of
vending machine they can easily refill the whiteboard marker and avoid the leakage of

it.

Students

This product serves for the students to save money if they need to have a new

whiteboard marker, they can just use the VIR “Refill Me Baby One More Time” to refill

the marker.

Future Researchers

This product can be the basis of the future researcher to know how the vending

machine works and also they can use this research as their guide and reference in their

future study.
