Online Training Course for Brightspace

To equip the teachers for the “New Normal” and in preparation for the S.Y. 2020-2021,

Immaculate Conception Academy Mathematics Department participated in an online training

course for brightspace facilitated by Ms. Rhieza Umandal, OIC-Principal of ICA Science High

School together with some teachers. Attendees were; Mrs. Belinda Magsino, ICA-South

Principal, Mr. Yuri Anthony Abad, ICA-East OIC-Principal, Mrs. Lucilyn Niere ICA-West

Principal, Mrs. Veronica Medina ICA-North Principal, Ms. Fe Del Rosario, Mrs. Annabelle

Dadap, Ms. Alyana Candelaria, Mrs. Rodora Alvaran, Mrs. Shuzette Repalda, Ms. Haydee

Juanpit, Ms. Cimberly Cabias, Ms. Irma Danta, Mr. John Philip Alexander, Mrs. Jessielyn

Palanas, Ms. Jeanne Rose Mandigma, and Ms. Jealy Rose Mansaludo.

The online course started with an introduction and navigation of the Brightspace learning

environment and personal profile updating. This was immediately followed by a comprehensive

and detailed tutorial on how use the platform in creating a course. This includes, content tool

overview, creating a module, creating a topic, creating assessments; such as assignments and

quizzes, creating a rubric and setting up a virtual classroom.
