Buying gadgets is a good investment. Do you agree?

Today I will deliver a speech about the buying gadgets is a

good investment.

Ladies and gentlemen,

When we talk about the gadget, from my observation, there are

two kind of people. The first one is who will save, beg, or

borrow to buy their dream gadget because they think it is a

good investment and the second one is who want value for

money, could not care about brands and the latest gadget. So

which category are you?

From my point of view, I do not agree with the statement and

my view can be greatly substantiated by my explanation after

this.

Ladies and gentlemen,

The first factor is lifespan of the gadget is too short. Nowadays,

we have seen a dramatically accelerating pace in the

development of new technologies. This rapid technological

change is affecting our gadget belonging, especially the electronic

gadget which is our belonging become obsolete and short

lifespan. For example, our mobile phone system, frequently we

receive a notification from the manufacturer to update the mobile

phone system until to a certain extent, our mobile phone cannot

be update and become obsolete.

Ladies and gentlemen,

The second factor is the gadget price is too expensive. Normally,

when a new gadget launches by a manufacturer, the price is too

expensive because the product comes with new technology and

features. This is not a good investment because we all know the

cycle of the gadget which the gadget is needed to update

frequently until certain period we need to upgrade. The price also

will be going down after a few month later.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Nowadays, the gadget comes with various application, but the

users do not know how to use the application and use only the

common application. For example, the mobile phone, has many

applications like a camera, we can take a photo like a

professional, by using Bluetooth, it can connect with the car to

use a hand free or connect with television to watch a video

through a big screen and so on. But the users do not make full

use of the application provided by the mobile phone. This is

because they buy according to their desires, not their needs.

In conclusion, buying a gadget not a good investment. This is

because the lifespan of the gadget is too short, the price also too

expensive and user do not make full use of the gadget. Therefore,

I believe that buying a gadget is not a good investment. So, I

stress that ‘The best gadget is human brain’. Thank you.
