Huraian penilaian

Based on the feedback that we got from the participants through Google Form, we have
achieved our objectives and examined weakness that could be improve in the future.

i. Met requirement of course code

By organizing this event, we have met the requirements of the course code syllabus
HTT353 - Tour Planning & Guiding which requires lecturers to make an assessment of
20% of course work marks in their aspects, planning and organising events or programs
by students. This has improved understanding and provides exposure to students in the
learning process of the HTT353 course code learned. Also, we have used the
opportunities by applying the knowledge and skills to manage this event virtually
through Google Meet platform.

ii. Improved communication and problem-solving skills

In organizing events, communication and problem-solving skills are very much needed
to make the event goes as expected. There are some times where things do not go as
planned. We communicated with each other effectively to complete tasks through chat
group on Whatsapp and video conference on Google Meet and etcetera. Not only that,
we worked as a team to solve some problems such as the difficulties in finding guests
speakers that led to last-minute changes.

iii. Establish academic relationships with other campuses branch of the same program
(HM111)
We have built a diplomatic relationship with other campuses of the same faculty,
Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management. We have attended webinars that were
organized by other campuses of the same faculty. By doing this, we get to know some of
the students and lecturers from different campuses. The benefit that it has given was
expanding network and acquaintances. We may need to know a lot of people that have
experience and knowledge such as seniors, lecturers, and industry players. This is
because students may need them as a reference in the future.

iv. The satisfaction of the whole event

Through the feedback from the participants that range from students and lecturers who
have participated in this event, it concludes that the webinar has satisfied their needs
and knowledge through the event. The organizers had applied their skills and knowledge
in organizing the event, whilst the participant gain pieces of knowledge through the
guest speakers. However, some parts are lacking such as the smoothness of the video
playing due to internet connection and platform used.
v. Responsiveness towards speakers
During the event, there are low responses from the participants especially on the
chatbox column in Google Meet. Even when the organizers tried to hype things up on
the chatbox or the guest speakers asking questions, very few responses came from the
participants. This has shown that there is little sportsmanship and maybe some of them
are not even focusing during the sessions. According to the feedback from the Google
Form, it is due to the psychological traits of the students that resulted in the situation.

Penutup
This webinar has allows participants from other UiTM campuses branch to see and hear
the presenter in different locations, ask questions, and sometimes answer surveys. This helps
the host organization's speaker, UiTM Sarawak Branch, exchanged PowerPoint slides, videos,
blogs, or other interactive material with viewers that can be found everywhere.

As such, the students of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Sarawak,

Samarahan Campus 2 of the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management conducted a webinar
entitled 'Knowledge Sharing in the Tourism Industry' which provided the participating students
with an insight into the knowledge and experiences faced by actual tourism industry people.

Two guest speaker gave knowledge on separate subjects about the insights and
perspectives they learned from their tourism industry professional lives. In addition, there was
a knowledge transfer from the UiTM Cawangan Melaka professor from the other campus.

Through this event, the students of UiTM Sarawak Branch has achieved their objectives.
They got to fulfil the requirement of the course code syllabus HTT353 - Tour Planning & Guiding
and has improved the understanding of the learning process of the HTT353 course code
learned. Besides, they got to improve their soft skills as students in digital and information
technologies while preparing for this event.

Contrastingly, weaknesses and obstacles were faced to succeed in the event. There are a
few problems in the execution of the event that was due to the internal and external factors.
By examining those obstacles, the students may improve themselves for future events and
preparing for industrial training in the next semester.

Overall, by accounting on the pros and cons it was smooth and successful event with a
little hitch on the road. However, the organizer manages to overcome it with the guidance of
their course lecturer, Mr. Yaziz Bin Kasim.
