Team purpose
Regulatory Assurance is a team established within the Quality Assurance and Safety (QAS) Group
with responsibility for the functions of Abortion Law Reform, Protected Quality Assurance

Activities (PQAA), Responsible Authority (RA) reviews and the implementation of the End of Life
Choice Act 2019.
Position purpose
The Programme Leader, Regulatory Assurance will be responsiblities for the oversight for the
work programme and monitoring of the implemetnation of the End of Life Choice Act
What you’ll do
Lead the on going development, planning and implementation of the End of Life Choice work
programme and report on progress and ensure objectives/milestones are achieved.
Lead inndividual programmes of work within the team to deliver on the Government's and
Ministry priorities and objectives
Provide leadership for projects withint the End of Life Chocie Act work programme working
with the Regualtory Assurance Team and others to ensure all work is well planned, using work
planning tools and methods which includes taking strategic and tactical approaches to
achieve results
Build collaborative and positive relationships across the Directorate, Ministry, the wider health
sector, government and other external stakeholders
Ensure the Manager, Regualtory Assurance is kept abreast of and informed of any emerging
risks and pressures
Assist with funding model and other releavant analytics
Ensure all work reflects our responsibilities to the priority of equity and meeting Treaty of
Waitangi obligations
