Rahmat : “Is this your school, Mirna?”
(Apakah ini sekolah kamu, Mirna?)

Mirna : “Yes, this is my school.”


(Ya, ini adalah sekolah saya.)

Rahmat : “Are there any rooms in your school?”


(Apakah ada ruangan di sekolah kamu?)

Mirna : “Yes, there are.”


(Ya, ada.)

Rahmat : “How many rooms are in your school?”


(Berapa banyak ruangan yang ada di sekolah kamu?)

Mirna : “There are thirteen rooms in my school.”


(Ada tiga belas ruangan di dalam sekolah saya.)

Rahmat : “What rooms are they?”


(Ruangan apa sajakah itu?)

Mirna : “They are six classroom, an office teacher, an office staff, two
bathrooms, a library, a medical room, a mosque.”
(Ada enam ruang kelas, sebuah kantor guru, sebuah kantor staf,
dua kamar mandi, sebuah perpustakaan, sebuah ruang
kesehatan, sebuah musholla.)

Rahmat : “O... yach... high school flagpole. What students held a ceremony
flag here?”
(O... ya... tiang bendera sekolah ini sangat tinggi. Di manakah
murid-murid di sini mengadakan upacara bendera?)

Mirna : “In the school field.”


(Di halaman sekolah.)

Rahmat : “What sports do at this school?”

Mirna : “Gymnastics, running, foot ball, volley ball, basket ball. All exercise
was conducted at this school field events.”
(Olahraga senam, lari, sepak bola, bola voli, dan bola basket.
Semua olahraga tersebut dilakukan di lapangan olahraga sekolah
ini.)

Speaking 2 (At Canteen : Di Kantin)


Percakapan antara Waiter (Pelayan) dengan Zidan di Kantin.

Waiter : “Can I do for you?”


Pelayan (Adakah yang bisa saya bantu?)

“These are the list of foods and beverages.”


(Ini daftar menu makanan dan minuman.)

Zidan : “Well.”
(Baiklah.)

“Could you make me a glass of milk, please?”


(Bisakah kamu buatkan saya segelas susu, tolong?)

Waiter : “Certainly.”
(Tentu saja.)

“What would you like to eat?”


(Kamu mau makan apa?)

Zidan : “Fried chicken, please.”


(Ayam goreng.)

Waiter : “Here you are, please.”

Librarian : “Good morning, Miss.”


(Selamat pagi, Nona.)

Sita : “Good morning.”


(Selamat pagi.)

“I want to borrow a book, Sir.”


(Saya mau meminjam buku, Pak.)

Librarian : “What books do you borrow to read?”


(Buku-buku apa saja yang ingin kamu pinjam untuk dibaca?)

Sita : “I wanna borrow an English book.”


(Saya ingin meminjam buku Bahasa Inggris.)

Librarian : “Please, take by yourself.”


(Silahkan pilih sendiri.)

“The English books are on the corner.”


(Buku-buku Bahasa Inggris ada di sudut.)

Sita : “This one, Sir. The English conversation book.”


(Yang ini, Pak. Buku percakapan Bahasa Inggris.)

Librarian : “Where is your member card?”


(Mana kartu anggota kamu?)

Sita : “Here you are.”


(Ini silahkan.)

Librarian : “Well, you may borrow it for a week.”


(Baik, kamu boleh meminjamnya selama seminggu/sepekan.)

“If you are late to return it, you will get fine.”
(Jika kamu terlambat mengembalikannya, kami akan mengenakan
denda.)

Sita : “Thank you, Sir.”

Adi : “Anita, I’m nervous.”


(Anita, Saya gugup.)

Anita : “Why Adi?”


(Kenapa Adi?)

Adi : “What’s subject now?”


(Apa pelajaran kita sekarang?)

Anita : “English.”
(Bahasa Inggris.)

Adi : “Yes, I’m always nervous in the class if we will study English.”
(Ya, saya selalu gugup di kelas, bila kita akan belajar Bahasa
Inggris.)

Anita : “Why? The English teacher is very nice.”


(Kenapa? Guru Bahasa Inggris itu sangat baik.)

Adi : “Yes, he is. But English is hard.”


(Ya, dia baik. Tetapi Bahasa Inggris itu sangat sulit.)

Anita : “A new language is always hard.”


(Bahasa yang baru memang selalu sulit.)

Adi : “Ssh! That’s our teacher coming here.”


(Ssst! Guru kita sedang berjalan menuju ke mari.)

Mr. Budi : “Good morning, class.”


(Selamat pagi, anak-anak.)

Students : “Good morning, Mr. Budi.”


(Selamat pagi, Pak Budi.)

Mr. Budi : “Where is Syaiful?”


(Ke mana Syaiful?)

Anita : “He’s absent, Sir.”


(Dia tidak hadir, Pak.)

Mr. Budi : “What’s wrong with him?”

Iwan : “I’m studying English.”


(Saya sedang belajar Bahasa Inggris.)

Mr. Budi : “Good, and you Anita! Look at me! What am I doing?”
(Bagus, dan kau Anita! Perhatikan saya! Apa yang sedang saya
lakukan?)

Anita : “You are teaching in the class.”


(Anda sedang mengajar di dalam kelas.)

Mr. Budi : “Good. You Adi. What are you doing?”


(Bagus. Kamu Adi. Apa yang sedang kamu lakukan?)

Adi : “I’m ... hmm ... look you.”


(Saya ... hmm ... melihat Anda.)

Mr. Budi : “No, that’s wrong in structure. Who ever can answer it? Please,
Anita!”
(Tidak, struktur kalimatnya salah. Ada yang bisa menjawabnya?
Ya, Anita!)

Anita : “I’m looking at you.”


(Saya memperhatikan Anda.)

Mr. Budi : “Good. Now open your book to page three. And repeat after me!”
(Bagus. Sekarang buka buku kalian halaman 3. Tolong ulangi
kata-kata saya.)

“Now, close your books and look at me!”


(Sekarang, tutup buku kalian dan perhatikan saya.)

The bell has rung.
(Bel berbunyi.)

“Let’s have a rest!”
