    1) Give the meaning of OSI as designed by the International standard organisation. List and
    Explain the different layers of the OSI model in ascending order. (1, 14 mks)
    2) Which layer(s) in the internet model separates the user support layer from the network
    support layer? (1 mk)
    3) Point – to – point connection can be divided into 3, simplex, half duplex and full
    duplex. Explain, giving example, the meaning of the words in bold. (3
    mks)
    4) Considering a network of 20 nodes, give the number of beams connecting these nodes in
    the case of a mesh network. List 3 other network topology, explaining them with the help
    of a diagram. (2, 3 mks)
