Scene 1 In the Classroom

(The teacher distributes the quiz result).

Teacher (Amirah): Ok, that's all for today. Class dismissed. Najrin and Yoel, please remain here for a
while because we need to talk.

(The two students will come closer to the teacher)

Najrin: What is it ma'am?

Yoel: What are we going to talk about? Is it about the quiz result ma'am?

Teacher: Exactly! I was so disappointed at the result of your quiz! What happened to all of you? Is it
hard to understand?

Najrin: We're sorry ma'am. We just don't know what to answer.

Yoel: It's too hard to understand!

Najrin: And besides, we can't get along with your discussion.

Teacher: Oh! I see. Proceed to your next subject and we'll talk about it later.

All: Yes ma'am, we're going. Thank you.

Scene 2 In the corridor

Yoel: Hey Najrin, what is your score in our quiz?

Najrin: Well, sad to say I got three in our quiz.

Yoel: You're lucky enough! I only got two in our quiz! Oh forget about that quiz. I'm excited on what
will happen later.

Najrin: Me too! :D

Scene 3 In the library

(The teacher will enter the library not knowing that the three students are there reading.)

Teacher: Oh! There you are! Don't you know that what you are doing shows a relation in force and
motion?

Najrin: Oh really? How do you say so?

Teacher: I'll explain it to you later. For now, stand up, get your bags and we will have a short tour
here in the campus.

Scene 4 While roaming around the campus

Yoel: Is it important to study about force and motion?

Teacher:……………………………..

Najrin: What is force and motion?

Teacher: (the teacher will explain about force and motion)

All: Oh!

Yoel: How about reading a book in the library? How can you say that it is shows force and motion?

Teacher: (The teacher will explain)

All: Ah. Now we know!

Scene 5 At the school grounds

Teacher: Oh, look! There's a ball. Would you mind to get it, Najrin?

Najrin: Oh! Sure ma'am! (Run towards the ball and get it) Here is it ma'am.

Teacher: Now, Yoel can you roll it to the ground? (The teacher will give the ball to Yoel)

Yoel: Yes ma'am!

Najrin: (While the ball is rolling) I'll get the ball! (When Najrin returned)

Teacher: Ok, what have you observed as the ball rolls on the ground?

Najrin: The ball keeps rolling on the ground.

Teacher: Of course the ball will roll but the true concept is that when you roll the ball on the
pavement you did exert a contact force since your hands were in contact with the ball before you
released the ball.

Scene 6 In the classroom

Teacher: Take a look at this one. (Pointing to the magnet and iron filings)

Yoel: What are we going to do to those materials?

Teacher: Try to put the magnet near the iron filings. (One of the students will do the said activity)
Teacher: What have you noticed?

Najrin: The iron filings were attracted by the magnet.

Yoel: What is the explanation for that ma'am?

Teacher: The pull of gravity is a force that might set an object in motion. Did you learn something? If
yes, can you make your own activity now related to that topic?

All: Yes ma'am, we can.

Scene 7 Laboratory

Najrin: Here, we have a spring. We will be using this in our simple activity today. Squash the spring
like this. Try to exert more force, and then try to lessen your effort.

Najrin: What's the concept of that activity?

Yoel: When you squash the spring down with your hand, you feel an upward push of your hand. The
more you squash or compress the spring down with your hand, the more the bigger the upward
force on your hand. The lesser you squash the spring down, the smaller the upward force in your
hand.

Teacher: (will clap her hands) what a nice activity! Now you know all about force and motion. Ok
that's enough, I have to go now. See you tomorrow in my class and don't forget to study.

All: Thank you so much ma'am!

Scene 8 Going Home

Najrin: Oh my gosh! I can't believe that force and motion was very easy!

Yoel: That's right! I learned a lot in that activity.

Najrin: And now we know that in simple things we do, it shows the relationship between force and
motion.

Yoel: I learned that force is just a fancy word for pushing and pulling.

Najrin: And motion makes the world go 'round! Magnetism produces a force that can either pull
opposite ends of two magnets together or push the matching ends apart. Thanks a lot to Ma'am
Amirah.

Yoel: You're right! Thanks to her so much. By the way I have to go now.

Najrin: Me tooSo, see you tomorrow!

Yoel: Ok. Bye bye!
