Grade Commentary
Merit ‘Detailed’ is perhaps a bit of a
stretch for this piece of work but
the learner has shown good levels
of understanding when discussing
Kasabian’s album which clearly
elevates it above a pass.
Merit Initially inclined to award a pass for
this task as the section of the work
connected to it is brief. However,
some of the writing for Task 1
contains evidence for this task,
especially the ‘Summary’ section,
and a merit is justified. The learner
has shown a good understanding
but the work could well be
developed further.
Merit The marketing plan is of a good
standard for the level but it is not
as directly informed by the
research for this unit as it could be.
For example, the learner made a
key point about how Kasabian
attached themselves to football
culture where they would intersect
with their key demographic but this
idea has not been carried forward
into their own plan.
