 One student give an energizer called “do it or dance it”
 Checking of assignment

4.2 Activity/Strategy (__5__ minutes).

(Group Activity)
Each group will solve the assign problem and afterwards, one representative from
the group will show the solution on the board and explain it.

4.3 Analysis (____ minutes).

How did you get the missing arithmetic and the term ask in the given arithmetic
sequence?

4.4 Abstraction (_30_ minutes).

Arithmetic means are the terms between any two nonconsecutive terms of an
arithmetic sequence.
To solve for the nth term: a n=a1 + ( n−1 ) d

To get the sum of the terms of the arithmetic sequence, formula is given in form:
n
sn= [ 2 a1+ ( n−1 ) d ]
2

4.5 Application (____ minutes).

a. Find the sum of the terms from 1 to 100.
b. The sum of the first 10 terms of an arithmetic sequence is 530. What is the first
term if the last term is 80?

4.6 Assessment (___ minutes).

Assessment Method
a) Observation

b) Talking to Learners / Conferencing

Think-pair-share
(Students are given problems in finding the arithmetic means, nth term and the
sum of the terms of the arithmetic sequence)

c) Analysis of Learners’ Products

d) Tests

4.7 Assignment (__ minutes). Fill-in below any of the four purposes:

 Reinforcing / strengthening the

day’s lesson
 Enriching / inspiring the day’s
lesson
 Enhancing / improving the day’s
lesson Study on how to find the missing terms, nth terms and the sum of the terms of
the arithmetic sequence for the preparation of the long quiz.

 Preparing for the new lesson

4.8 Concluding Activity (_2_ minutes). Ask students on their insights about the activity given.

1. Remarks

2. Reflections

A. No. of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation.

B. No. of learners who require additional activities for

remediation.

C. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners who

have caught up with the lesson.

D. No. of learners who continue to require

remediation.

E. Which of my learning strategies worked well? Why

did these work?

F. What difficulties did I encounter which my principal

or supervisor can help me solve?

G. What innovation or localized materials did I

use/discover which I wish to share with other
teachers?
