This procedure is to describe all activities to be performed in the dismantling the platform of existing
conveyor for SB3 to SB4 to ensure that all works are properly planned and executed in accordance with all
the requirements of the contract document.

III. SEQUENCES:

This method statement is prepared for explaining the methodology of the dismantling the platform of
existing conveyor for SB3 to SB4. This procedure covers the methods, equipment, tool and materials to
be used in this operation.
METHOD STATEMENT

Dismantling the platform of existing conveyor is to shows the stages of dismantling the sections of
the parts, and the establishment of the components and involves the following steps:
1- HSE rules and safety precautions will be taken:
• First of all, Markup the working area.
• Close all accesses at the existing platform level before starting the disassembly of this one.
2- Position the crane and the Man-lift to be in better working condition.
3- A fitter will be mounted in the Man-lift with a Man-lift driver.
4- The crane boom will be moved inside the storage area until reaching the right position. And
then, the crane will lower it hook towards to the parts of platform. And then, two slings will be fixed
first into the crane hook.
5- The fitter using the man-lift will attach these slings to the parts of the platform one by one.
6- We will use the guide rope during the dismantling of the platform parts.
7- Each platform parts will be cut one by one by the blowtorch.

Construction  electric wires  Report work to central direction (take-on and take-off)
works at  Activation and release of plant
machines and
steel parts  Injuries by fall
 Only use scaffoldings after release of manufacturer
downs
 Before use test scaffoldings to obvious defects
 Only use scaffoldings after correction of defects
 If floor > 2 m over ground there must be a side protection like railing, board
 If distance > 0,3 m between building and inside of scaffolding there must be a three-parts-
side-protection even at the inside
 Each used floor must be complete and reachable by a safe access like stairs, inner ladder)

 Duty to use safety glasses
