D4 Analysis

• List the note names of each chord in the blanks beneath the measure. Mark the note name that is the root with blue
color.
• Mark each embellishing tone in the melody in the top staff with blue color, and label it as either a passing tone (PT) or
neighbor tone (NT).
• Replace the word ‘key’ with the name of the key (remember to retain the colon afterward), figuring out whether the key is
major or minor. (Hint: if it is in minor, scale degree 7 will be raised in order to become a leading tone.) Then in the blanks
below the staves, label the Roman numeral and figures for each chord.
