Summary
Students will write simple descriptions of scientific achievements, learn and use related vocabulary
items in writing, use correct form of irregular verbs in past tense forms and give feedback to each
other in small groups..

Reading students’ papers and/or letting them read their papers out loud before forming groups.
Collecting students’ papers to read at home to evaluate specifically after peer feedback and
correction.

Explanation
Students should learn the simple and basic vocabulary related to science as a preparation for
academic writings in the essays. They should read, hear and write the vocabulary instead of
memorizing it. Writing can take role as a base before speaking.
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
Basic vocabulary will be introduced to students with a infographics and PowToon.
After explanations and quick reviewing words, students will write their own sentences including the
freshly introduces words and tenses that have been taught to them in the previous lessons such as
simple past tense or present progressive tense.
In the end, they will evaluate each other’s paragraphs and will be evaluated by teacher.

Contingency Plan: If teacher cannot use materials and aids due to connection problems etc.,
Teacher can change the method by writing the whiteboard aimed vocabulary and phrases, and keep
the track of lesson plan as it is, assigning writing activity, guiding them as they write and form
groups, evaluate them ultimately.
