At the end of the lecture, 8th graders will practice their listening and comprehension skills and
vocabulary knowledge to B1 level.

Summary
Students will practice their listening skills through exercises and survey and use related vocabulary
items in class discussion.
Measurement & Evaluation
Three exercises will be evaluated by the teacher.
In discussion students will test their knowledge of the topic.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for Students will listen the topic and then solve the
Individual Performance exercises, teacher will check them in a row and
when they are done, teacher will explain the
wrong answers.
Measurement & Assessment Activities for There can be multiple discussions about the
Group Performance topic for each small group.
Homework (optional) They can write the paragraph of what they have
learn in the class.
Explanation
Students should do the preparation exercise testing their simple and basic vocabulary related to
listening. By this method when they hear the words again in the listening they will not memorize
but learn the words. They will also learn how to pronounce. Also speaking task will help them learn
the vocabulary.
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
Basic vocabulary will be introduced to students with an exercise.
After explanations and quick reviewing words, students will do the listening including the words.
The listening text will be read by the teacher again. The teacher will explain the unknown words.
After that, students will do an exercise again to test their understanding. They will do a google
survey and gap filling exercise.
In the end, there will be discussions related to the topic.

Contingency Plan: If teacher cannot use materials and aids due to connection problems etc.,
Teacher can change the method by writing the whiteboard aimed vocabulary and phrases, all of the
exercises can be print out.
