I. PREPARATION
A. Recall
Yesterday, we discussed the story of Odysseus
and his adventures.

What was again the highlight of his adventure?

That’s right.

You were also asked to make a quotation about


resourcefulness and wisdom which is the theme
of the story. I’ll pick two outputs and I want you
to share it to the class.

B. Motivation
There was a famous story about a little moth - Yes ma’am.
and the lamp. Have you ever heard of that
story? - One night little moth and his mom went near
What happened in that story? a lamp. Mother moth warned her son not to
go too near the fire but the little moth did not
listen. In the end the little moth was
consumed by the fire.
- He did not listen to his mother’s advice.
Why did the little moth die?

Today, we will talk about the importance of


obedience through a very similar story.

C. Statement of lesson objectives


But, before we start, let me first give you the
things you should accomplish. By the end of the
lesson you are expected to:
a. distinguish between reflexive and
intensive pronoun;
b. state assertions and opinions through
interactive discussions;
c. integrate proper public speaking
techniques during reporting; and
d. manifest the value of obedience.

II. PRESENTATION

A. Reading of Selection
Your assignment last meeting is to read the
story of Daedalus and Icarus. Today, you are
going to discuss the story. Go to your groups
and accomplish the tasks that I’ll be presenting.
(see attachment A). Afterwards, assign a
reporter to share your work to the class.

craftsman. Use the following guide questions:
a. Why do the Athenians call Daedalus the best craftsman?
b. What were the actions that Daedalus did to protect his title?
