CLO 2: Analyze situations and solve problems on heat
transfer, thermodynamics, electrostatics,
electromagnetism, and resistive circuits.

CLO 3: Describe conceptually and quantitatively

basic RLC circuits, optics, semiconductors,
and nuclear physics.

CLO 4: Analyze situations and solve problems involving

RLC circuits, optics, semiconductors, and
nuclear physics.

10 Learners' Profile This course is for first year Electronics Engineering

and Context students under the 2018 - 2019 curriculum who are not
able to enter the city of Baguio due to social
distancing protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students enrolled can access this course through their
own internet connection at home or on their mobile
devices, through internet shops/cafes if and when
they are allowed, and through the offline mode of
delivery made available through express mail
correspondence. This course requires each student to
have at least a laptop or a desktop computer for
opening, processing, and saving lessons and
requirements in electronic form.
11 Assessment and Students in the course will be assessed by their
Evaluation Details ability to solve problems based on concepts that will
be given and will be discussed in the modules and the
video files in their packets.

The course has formative and summative assessment

activities that will be administered in two modes:

a. Online correspondence through the SLU

Google Suite institutional subscription, SLU E-
Learning Resources, SLU Student Portal, and
other online tools.

b. Offline correspondence through express mail

correspondence of printed and recorded
materials.
12 Monitoring Details Students with internet connection will be monitored
through the SLU Student Portal and through their
participation in the Google Classroom and other
forms of online activities.

Students without any internet connection will be

monitored through:

a. Telephone calls or short messages (through

SMS) at least once a week;
b. Express mail correspondence of printed
modules and requirements between the faculty
and the student at designated schedules;
Express mail correspondence of USB flash drive
containing electronically encoded instruction
modules and course requirements (in text, audio,
and/or video format) between the faculty and the
student at designated schedules.
13 Technological The online delivery of this course will be supported by
Support the SLU Google Suite institutional subscription, SLU E-
Learning Resources, and SLU Student Portal, and other
online tools.

The offline delivery will require the use of one 16GB USB
flash drive to send the recorded materials for students
without internet connection. The same flash drive will
be used by the student to submit the required outputs
to their instructor.
14 Course Budget The cost of the flash drive and shipping fees shall be
shouldered by each student who decides to avail of
the offline mode of instructional delivery. The total
actual cost shall be charged in full against the
student’s account in his/her final payment of tuition.
