Dubai International Airport is the primary international airport which is serving Dubai. It is
situated in the AI Garhoud district, 2.5 nautical miles (4.6km; 2.9ml) east of Dubai and
spread over an area of 3,100 acres (1,250 ha) of land.

The airport is operated by the Dubai Airports Company which is the home base of Dubai’s
international airlines which are Emirates and FlyDubai. The owner is the Government of

taxiways to support the new satellite concourse. Furthermore, a Charter Terminal which does
handle more than 500 passengers per hour. A new 13,000-foot (4,000 meter) runway and taxi
system, which does includes state of the art navigational ads and computerized airfield
computer system. There’s a cargo and free trade zone complex. It is providing the new
automated baggage handling system. Besides, there’s a new traffic control tower, a fuel farm,
a central utility plant, fire stations and associated airside facilities. Therefore, they did
planned all construction activities to minimize the impact on existing airport operations.

to monitor air traffic arriving into and departing from Dubai. The noise monitoring stations
