Engineering Management

Activity No. 3

Engineer Leonardo B. Nonan Jr. is currently residing at Libertad, Butuan City. In the
year 1986, he finished the degree of Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering in
Cagayan de Oro College. While waiting for board exam, he got his first job in the year
1988 by working at DPWH Butuan City. Later on, he became a licensed Geodetic
Engineer in the year 1989. Engr. Leonardo B. Nonan started to build his own company in
the year 1990 and in the year 2000, the company was already in its full blast. In 1999, he
got his Junior Geodetic Engineer license and moved up as a Senior Geodetic Engineer in
the year 2002. Currently, Engr. Nonan has already two branches of his company named
as “LN (Leonardo Nonan) Realty and Surveying Services” located at Butuan City and
Cagayan de Oro City. The company he built is engaged in realty and surveying.

GOALS
 “To be the number one surveying company in Caraga Region if not in Mindanao
or in the Philippines. That is our goal since we have already expanded outside
Region 13.”
 “To have continuous projects to sustain the company. No project, no work, no
progress of the company.”
 “To finish our work because we accommodate government contract mostly, so
the goal always is to finish the projects on time.”
 “To provide better service than our competitors.”
 “To operate a firm that completes work in a timely manner and provides only the
highest quality in surveying”

Company Efficiency Development

 Provide trainings to achieve diversified faculty as a critical requirement and


strategy for improving excellence.
 Improve communication
 Increase teamwork by conducting team buildings once a year which emphasizes
coaching and mentoring.

Marketing Tool

 Build trusts with the clients by giving them a satisfactory service at a reasonable
price
 Keeping our word, find new ways to assist clients and increase our value to the
clients and increase value by giving them meaningful data in a format that fits
perfectly into their systems.
 Disseminating flyers of the survey company
 Expanding our client base to maximize participation in project types.

work did not provide enough financial return to equate to a professional fee.

opportunities
 Partnership with government sectors and other companies with synergy to offer
complete services/
 Prioritize projects on areas with less surveying firms yet
