3. Princess Farms is a commercial enterprise that grows sugar cane and produces sugar for export. It has
been operating for over forty years. Beginning in 1970. yield data for a particular field was collected.
This data is shown in Figure I below. It has been suggested that the change in yield is as a result of soil
degradation.
