Environmental Policy

Verteville Energy Company Limited recognizes that our operations have an effect on the local, regional
and global environment; hence we exploit technologies, which are basically friendly to the environment.

We also recognize, however, that in our day-to-day operations, we inevitably impact on the environment
in a number of ways and we wish to minimize the potentially harmful effects of such activity wherever
and whenever possible.

As part of our continuing drives for quality in all things we do we have therefore developed a
comprehensive policy statement which will enable us to set the targets by which our efforts towards
sustainable environmental improvement can be measured and monitored on a regularly basis.

We have undertaken to help every Verteville Energy person to understand and to implement the relevant
aspects of this policy in their day-to-day works through the regular communication of objectives, action
plans and achievements. At Leadership level, the EHS Coordinator has specific responsibility for policy
development, coordination and evaluation of performance. Verteville Energy is committed to minimizing
the impact of its operation on the environment by means of a program of continuous improvement.

We will include environmental issues in our training programs and encourage the implementation by all
Verteville Energy people of sound environmental practices.

We strengthen this commitment by employing quality operating system methodology as the framework to
identify objectives and targets for addressing areas of environmental significance.

Verteville Energy is improving the condition of our environment by preventing pollution, specifically
through the reduction of natural resource usage. We are also helping to preserve the environment by
promoting recycling as well as continuing to make responsible environmental choices when purchasing
products.

Verteville Energy will comply with the federal, state and local legislation and regulatory requirements.

Verteville Energy management is committed to provide the resources required and ensuring the effective
implementation of Environmental Management System.

Above all, Verteville Energy will strive to continuously improve our efforts to create a cleaner and safer
environment.
