FRAN’S FLOWER SHOP

CASE STUDY 1.1

Introduction

A successful businessman have done a lot of work before he embrace all the achievements in his

life. If you want to become one of them you must know that you should be skilled and knowledgeable about

some things about business such as marketing, brand management, customer relations, consumer

behavior advertising, public relations, corporate communication, community engagement, reputation

management, interpersonal communication, employee engagement, and event manager. Every one of us

wants to have an income from doing things that we want to do just like Fran. She wants to have a

successful business so she worked for it and currently have one but Fran is facing many problems and

struggling how to run her business well.

Body

The major problem of Fran in her business the delays of service to her costumers both walk ins

and deliveries due to lack of skilled workers and store's hours to provide the demands of a huge numbers

of costumers wants to purchase at a time. This issues result to some uncertainty and negative feedbacks

from the customer's dissatisfaction.


I would suggest to her to collect the data of the orders through walk in, online orders and some

spot orders from her customers. In that case, she can determine what could possibly wrong about her

techniques and strategies in her business. She will know where to assign her employees and how many

they are based on the activeness of the work in the data that she collected. I also want to suggest to her

that she can conduct a survey from her customers to know all the complaints and make some actions on it.

To improve her business, I would highly recommend to her to invest another franchise store to

operate in other location in the city, that is accessible both walk-in and delivery by the customer to buy. By

providing a high speed Internet for the deliveries to avoid delayed response to the customer. And of course

to hire a well-trained and skilled worker to help her in running a business and to manage the demands of

customer and make a strong strategical planning to avoid unnecessary loss of profit. She will also begin

with the gathering of the data's or feedbacks to improve her service and make outstanding product above

competitors. And feel free to ask her costumer about some uncertainty and give a immediate response to

the problem. I will also suggest to make a Frank's Flowers page in social media in advertising her business.

For some changes that we suggest she make, here’s the implementation plan for it. Firstt, she

should hire some well-trained workers and conduct a seminar on how to run a business and make a good

strategies so that her employees can manage it effectively and handle customer’s questions and

suggestions about the product, whenever she’s not around. And also to think of some ideas or strategies to

make the deliveries safer and fresh as it it when it comes to the customer. After the success of those plans,

she can now invest for another franchise store that is located in different part of the city so that the other

customers nearby can purchase from the store.


Conclusion

Building a business is not an easy job, it requires a lot of critical thinking on what you will do, plan

and implement on. The statement above implies the current situation of Fran’s business which it result to

customer’s dissatisfaction. The study searched for a possible actions that will help to fix the problem by

stating some plans and solutions for the business. You should always consider some factors that will come

along the way like problems and challenges, you must be wise and knowledgeable in taking actions on it

for you to succeed.
