Please read this rider carefully. It is an integral part of the contract between yourself (hereinafter referred to
as The Promoter as stated in the booking contract) to provide a performance by Asian Dub Foundation
(hereinafter referred to as ‘ADF’).
By completing the booking process, you are agreeing to adhere to the terms and conditions of this rider
and to supply the Artiste with all the facilities and working conditions necessary for the performance.
If you have any problems, concerns or queries with any part of the rider or if you feel there are terms and
conditions that it will be impossible for you to fulfill then please contact us without delay so we can rectify
the situation. We want to do everything we can to make this a successful show for everyone involved and
look forward to working with you!
PLEASE NOTE
All costs associated with the requirements of this rider, including the specified inventory of production
equipment are to be met by the promoter.

HOSPITALITY RIDER
Asian Dub Foundation kindly asks that as much of the following food and drink be purchased at
Whole Foods, or a similar health food store and enough for a minimum of 10 people. All food
and drink should be placed in the dressing room and be available from load in time. Food and
drink should be kept refrigerated.
SHOWERS
Please provide access to clean, hot water showers from load IN through to load OUT.
12 x LARGE clean towels plus regular shower gel and shampoo.
PRODUCTION OFFICE
Where possible, please provide a separate production office for the tour manager. Wired
Internet, power sockets and a lockable door is appreciated. Access to a working printer is
ESSENTIAL.
DRESSING ROOMS
ADF backstage dressing room(s) area should be up-lit with adequate seating and sofas for 15
people. All of the touring party smoke and if this is a problem at your venue please inform the
tour manager, before the bands arrival.
CATERING
The promoter must supply a substantial, nutritious evening meal for the 10 people in the touring
party. With MULTIPLE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS.
OR
A buyout of £20 / €25 / $30 for each member of the touring party. Please give this to the tour
manager at the LOAD IN, in the correct, divisible notes!
PREFERENCE: The ADF party would like to eat at different times. The PREFERRED option for ADF, is
for buyout and eat locally in their own time. Alternatively, hotel or venue owned restaurants
should be credited and told to expect musicians AFTER the show.
STAGE RIDER
To be given to the Tour Manager at least 1 hour before show: -
24 x small (330 – 500ml) PLASTIC bottles of mineral water – NO GAS – NO GLASS
12 x hand towels for stage use (black if possible)
POST SHOW
Please provide healthy pizza or falafel enough for 10 people – 60% of this should be HEALTHY &
VEGETARIAN!
1 x Jar of Honey
1 x large stem or root ginger
1 x Bowl of fresh fruit
6 x Fresh Lemons
A juicer and Veggie/fruit assortment is very much appreciated…
1 x jar of peanut butter
6 x chocolate bars
SOFT DRINKS

Inexhaustible supply of ICE, cups, glasses and bottle openers, plates, utensils for the above..

LUGGAGE
Flights must also include checked luggage as:

NOTE:
All luggage should be booked under the Tour Manager’s name.
Please consult the tour manager when booking the luggage as policies vary between airlines!
GROUND TRANSPORT
Where ground transport is included in the deal, please provide adequate transport for 14 people
plus luggage. ADF prefer 2 separate vehicles, allowing none / essential crew/musicians to be
driven later, behind the core stage crew.
Vehicles MUST have adequate Air Conditioning / Heating to suit the local environment.
NOTE: IF any member of the touring party decides the driver is under the influence, sleep
deprived or in any way UNFIT TO DRIVE, the driver will be asked to stop, and the TOUR MANAGER
will finish the drive. Any fines or penalties for driving without insurance will be the responsibility of
the promoter…
PARKING
If the event is within the UK, ADF will travel in a tour bus. Please provide an adequate parking

If the event is within 1 hour drive from central London, ADF will arrive in 3 vehicles at different
times. This will need to be advanced as per the show details.
All parking charges and costs associated, must be managed and covered by the venue /
promoter.
HOTELS
Rooming list should be taken as above, no members of the touring party will be expected to
share a twin room and all rooms should have a double bed, for sole occupancy. Where hotels
have restaurants, the promoter should provide the option to eat there, instead of venue / festival
catering or pre-arranged meal times.
IMPORTANT: Asian Dub Foundation request a hotel within a maximum WALKING distance of 5
minutes to/from the venue! This needs to be discussed and confirmed with the tour manager
during the written advance of the show. Please send OPTIONS to the tour manager before you
book.
SMOKING
As listed in the PAX list previously, 5 of 10 in the touring party will need to smoke in the venue /
backstage area as well as on the stage during the performance. Please notify the tour manager
if this is a problem. If smoking rooms are available at the hotel, please arrange accordingly.

Headline shows, ADF would prefer to stay static on the ground and not be moved !!
We request that the downstage edge be clear of all unnecessary monitors, lights, cables and
crew! We understand that this is sometimes hard to achieve in a festival situation but please
schedule a tidy up of unnecessary tech during the changeover before !!
SOUNDCHECK
Festivals might receive console files for FOH in advance, from the Tour Manager, and should
allow a minimum of 2h30 to soundcheck before the festival stage / tent / area is open to the
public. Asian Dub Foundation crew should have access to backline and contact with the stage
manager and technical crew at LEAST 1 hour before this.
BACKSTAGE
Backstage security should be introduced to the tour manger BEFORE doors. The tour manager
must be given a key to the backstage dressing room – which he will give back, during the
settlement at the end of the night.
Support artists should be kept separate from the ADF touring party – unless otherwise stated by
the tour manager during the advance!
Artist liaison should be with the tour manager when the show starts, and be close during the
show to unlock the door for any resting musicians during the performance.
GUESTLIST
Guestlist totals will vary between shows & festivals. ADF require a minimum of 25 names. Actual
list will be submitted to the D.o.S. Promoter Representative or Artist Liaison before doors on the
Day Of Show. The Tour Manager will reserve the right to change / alter / add to this list, during
the show.
AAA guests will be documented on the guestlist submission – they will be have access to the
backstage area but NOT the stage.
Any member of the touring party should have the ability to escort any member the audience
with a public ticket backstage.
TECHNICAL RIDER
AUDIO SPECIFICATION
The venue PA specifications must be forwarded to the Tour Manager no later than 21 days prior
to the performance.
An English speaking FOH engineer must be available from load in and for the duration of the
sound check and performance.
Sound system capable of SPL Level of 120db (C) full range at FOH, PA to cover all standing and
seated areas of the venue. We require access to the system EQ and levels settings for all areas of
the sound system. 31 band EQ’s inserted across all desk outputs.
The music is bass heavy and therefore must have plenty of Subs & be capable of delivering
down to 30Hz. Preferred systems: L'Acoustics, d&b, and JBL.
FOH mixing position must be central and within the main coverage of the sound system, not on
or under balconies or hidden behind walls please !! This should be detailed in venue spec under
dimensions & capacity.
Please notify the Tour Manager of any sound restrictions under 101db(A) weighted over 15
minutes. This could be a deal breaker…
MONITOR SPECIFICATION
An English speaking monitor engineer must be available from load in and for the duration of the
sound check and performance.
ADF Require:
A MINIMUM of 11 monitors on 5 mixes. PLUS 2 monitors for cue mix in Monitors world.
1 x XLR line at drums for wired IEM (mix 9)
Any spare wedge monitors / microphones / cabling MUST be removed to avoid trip hazards and
improve sightlines of ADF and the lighting production.
HOUSE LIGHTING
ADF Do not currently tour with an LD. Contact for the house LD should be advanced with the
tour manager. The band deserve a lot of ACTIVE and well timed light on STAGE – DO NOT LIGHT
the audience… more details can be given over during the soundcheck.
STAGE POWER
(All power is 230V @ 50Hz)
Alternatives need to be discussed with the tour manager – and transformers MUST be provided
by the promoter / venue.

Backstage Checklist
1. Dressing room and production office are properly equipped and catered for
as per rider.
2. Towels are provides as per rider.
3. Catering/buy out requirements are met and advanced with tour manager.
Logistics Checklist
4. Production runner and buggy/vehicle for the duration of The Artiste and The
Production Team’s time on site dedicated to The Artiste and The Production
Team.
5. Production timings and show times to be advanced direct with the TM ASAP.
6. The Production Team reserves the right to close the stage and backstage
area from changeover until after their performance.
Venue Checklist
7. Stage performance area to be clear of redundant tech (cables, monitors,
drinks) and in a fit state for performance.
8. Covered backstage or wing storage space to be provided to store The
Artiste’s production during the day if a full changeover is required.
LX / AV Checklist
9. ADF will not always travel with an LD. In this instance, the venue should allow
time for the local LD to meet and talk about specific lighting requirements on
a show by show basis. Set lists and notes will be handed out.
