Manual CpxSerialChecker

Item Information
Fault description Certain serial numbers of the processor module of the CPX are possibly
faulty and must be replaced.

Concerned are CPX V3 and V4 with the following material numbers.

CPX V3 1,83GHZ: 2063439
CPX V4 Basic: 2081453
CPX V4 Standard: 2081429
Effects Possible fault effects are boot problems or accesses on network and storage
media.
Use To check whether the CPX has to be replaced or not, the software
CpxCpuSerialChecker can be used.

Operation of software CpxCpuSerialChecker

A CPX concerned can be detected via the independent program
„CpxCpuSerialChecker“ which checks the serial numbers of the processor
modules concerned. The user obtains the information whether the CPX has
to be replaced as a feedback.

Functional decription:
Start program and select laser by means of the name or the IP address.

After being connected to the laser, start the check and confirm by pressing
the button „Check“.

After the check, the user will obtain the information for a faultless CPX
(Processor module without fault) by means of the green symbol.

A faulty CPX (Processor module with soldering problem) can be seen by

means of the red feedback.

The CPX must be replaced in case of a red feedback.

If the test is carried out with a CPX V1 or V2 or if the test does not work due
to other reasons, this is indicated by means of a yellow triangle. This hint is
supported by a text.
