To get the best performance and to obtain access to all functions here some information about
Transport/Working mode and Offset:

Transport/Working mode (button #3):

At start up of the diesel engine, the roller will always be set to Transport mode. This is a safety mode –
offset, vibrations, sprinkler system and edge cutter will not be possible to activate in this mode. Also
the speed ramps for forward/reverse lever will be set to "hard" driving characteristics meaning tough
acceleration and very short stopping performance. When Parking brake still ON, the symbol for
parking brake will be shown in the upper right corner of the display.
By pushing the button for Working mode (green in picture) the roller will accept using the
offset buttons in the forward/reverse lever, it will be possible to use vibration (front or rear or both plus
high amplitude and AVC), it will be possible to use all sprinkling functions and to use the edge
compactor/cutter. Also, and very important, the speed ramps in the forward/reverse lever will be set to
"soft" driving characteristics meaning soft start and stop not to make marks in hot asphalt mat. The
Working mode will be indicated in display when Parking brake is OFF, upper right corner will show the
same symbol as on the push button.
Operating in Working mode will of course give longer stopping distances to get best
application result, but: Another very important feature is the "panic mode". If the operator comes to
close to the paver or needs to stop quickly of other reasons, moving the forward/reverse lever very
rapidly, the roller will get into "hard" driving characteristics to stop at shortest possible distance. When
the roller has stopped, move the forward/reverse lever to neutral to get back in Working mode.
So, gentle movements with the forward/reverse lever in Working mode except when getting
into "panic" to stay in Working mode. The symbol in the display and the red indicator lamp will still
show Working mode after a panic stop, as the only thing you have to do is to set the forward/reverse
lever to neutral and then go again.

Offset
The two black buttons on the forward/reverse lever controls the offset, up to 320 mm (13") each side.
The zero indicator in the display is the same symbol as above. The Working mode symbol at upper
right corner shows a steady image when in zero and starts to flicker when outside zero. So use the
push buttons and look at the symbol in the display to become steady when aiming for the zero/
/no offset position.
