- I Can Draw I Swear was a small online art business that I ran.
- My responsibilities included managing the online shop, websites, producing
inventory and keeping books.

Self-Employed Music Teacher
- I teach Primary – Level 7 piano and Primary, Beginner, and Intermediate Theory
Rudiments.
- I teach children piano playing basics, and work with them on their technique and
theory.
- Responsibilities included: teaching and working with students and adjusting my
teaching style to the student depending on their age, interests, learning ability, and
developmental level (typically kids ages 6-13 years old). I also manage invoices,
keep books, and organize music events such as recitals and large group lessons.
- I have also taught and continue to teach adults at a beginner level.

- My responsibilities as a deli worker included: customer service, meat slicing,
making and serving meals, dips and trays. Working the meat slicer, washing
dishes, and cleaning the hot case.
May 13th 2017 – January 25th 2018 Creston, BC
Worked at Home Hardware
- I worked as a cashier and cleaner.
- I was required to have basic knowledge of some lumber yard and seasonal items
such as pressure treated and non-pressure treated lumber, plywood, camping
supplies, pesticides, animal feeds, etc.
- My responsibilities as a cashier included: working the Profit Master tills,
customer service, dealing with sales, refunds, returns, completing special orders,
deliveries and taking account payments.
- My other responsibilities as a cashier included: cutting house keys, ordering items
for customers, performing carry-outs, calling customers to clear mistakes, and
calling customers when their special orders had arrived.
- My cleaning responsibilities included: dry-mopping the floors, and running,
cleaning and handling the floor-cleaning machine. Cleaning, sweeping and
mopping the bathrooms, staff room, offices, and staircases. Washing the water
machine, sweeping the till area and foyer, and cleaning the tills.

January 1st – April 5th 2019 Cranbrook, BC


Practicum at Big Brothers, Big Sisters – Supervisor Jordan MacDonald
- I worked with kids, and youth. (Grades K-12)
- Helped planning, organizing, and facilitating programs.
- Planning/Organizing: We had to take the Go Girls curriculum, and re-write it with
new activities and tips based on the main ideas and focus of the program. For
example: “physical activity is important” – I would take that statement and write a
lesson plan for that section of the program to help get the idea across to the girls.
We would do games, role-plays, etc. (Upon request, and if needed, I can provide a
Go Girls lesson plan example, that I created for this curriculum.)
- Worked in three programs: MindUp, Go Girls, and Teen Mentoring.
- For MindUp: Did the shopping, organizing, and helped the program coordinator
facilitate the sessions in elementary school classrooms. This program ran for 9
weeks, and we worked with kids from Kindergarten to Grade 4.
- For Go Girls: Did shopping, planning, organizing and facilitation of the Go Girls
program. This program ran for 7 weeks and involved writing responses to the
girls’ journal entries, organizing snacks, and facilitating the sessions.
Occasionally involved addressing and re-directing challenging behaviours.
- Teen Mentoring: Mostly just monitoring the matches, and involved organizing
snacks for the teens and their mentees. Also did some facilitation of activities, and
some questionnaires with the teens to see how their matches were going.

April 24th, 2019 – June 21st, 2019 Creston, BC


Practicum at Ktunaxa Kinbasket Child & Family Services – Supervisors: Becky
Coons, Amanda Miller, Tricia Hill
- I worked with kids from the local, Indigenous reserve school Yaquan Nukiy, (kids
are ages 9-12), in two different programs; I helped organize, plan, and facilitate a
program for boys, and a program for girls, each week.
- I occasionally assisted with and address challenging behaviours; I do some
behavioural intervention.
- I assisted in some “Family Mapping” meetings; these meetings consist of two
workers (Social, or Family Support workers), the client, and their support system.
We talked for 1-2 hours and work out safety plans, use scaling questions to gage
where everyone is at, etc. These meetings are recorded on paper and every signs
to ensure that we all agree on what was said. These meetings take place once a
month with each client that needs it.
- I’ve gone with Social and Support workers to court to help be a supportive
presence for clients.
- I’ve gone on intakes, been in meetings, and gone on client visits.

Aboriginal Family/Youth Support and Early Years Worker at Ktunaxa Kinbasket
Child & Family Services Society
- I was in the family support worker role at KKCFS; my duties varied, depending
on the particular client, their needs, and their goals
- My current role is an Aboriginal Early Years worker. I do voluntary work with
families of young children (predominantly 0-6 years of age, but I am able to work
with kids up to the age of 12) and help the parents to screen their child’s
development and connect them to resources and additional services that are in the
best interest of their child(ren). Such as: teaching parenting skills, providing
activities and tools for their children’s’ development, (gross motor, fine motor,
problem-solving, communication, social, etc.,) assistance in applying for daycare
and baby group programs, and provide Ages and Stages Questionnaire screenings.
- I offer and work under the Aboriginal Supported Child Development (ASCD)
program, and that Aboriginal Infant Development Program (AIDP).
- I collaborate with teachers at my clients’ schools in order to maintain a consistent
quality of care across the children’s’ social environments.
- I keep notes, files, and other information through the BestPractice program
- I email, text (using work phone), and call clients to make appointments, check in,
etc.
- As part of my position, I do family support plans with my clients, reviewed every
three months, where we look at what’s going well, what are concerns, and what
we can do next
- I help run a few other programs (First Friday dinners, day-visits to a school, etc.)

Distance Education School), as of June 2016.
- I have my Human Service Worker Diploma, from the College of the Rockies in
Cranbrook BC, received as of June 2020.
