Stop Waste Food
Stop Waste Food
The aim of this report is to evaluate the measures adopted by our government
within the campaign “Stop Waste Food!”. This report will also give some
recommendations as how the current measures could be improved and
elaborate new ones.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The campaign was launched to customers and retailers a year ago. During last
six months, I have split my research project in two parts: direct observation and
interviewing shoppers and customers.
DIRECT OBSERVATION
I have observed that nearly a sixth of shops have not got posters in their walls.
The most important Shopping Center, Carrington Mall, has not advertised
anything.
Moreover, I have noticed that the amount of food that the shops are throwing
away have decreased a twenty per cent. Besides, ONG’s and farmers have
loaded some trucks with ripe food for feed poor families and animals.
INTERVIEWS
CONCLUSION
It is clear that former measures are leaving a mark on our society. However, a
few of them are being achieved in full. By the way, the government should
increase aids to retailers, decreasing taxes and fees. They should publicize
more the campaign as well. These recommendations can improve current
measures.
