motherland, Philippines.

With all the information we gathered, we ought to analyze and answer the important questions
below regarding the issue of Rizal’s first homecoming:

What was Rizal’s reason for going back to the Philippines?

Reasons of Rizal for coming back

After he finished his novel, Noli Me Tangere, Rizal planned to go back to his motherland.
He wants to prove that despite of threats, there is no reason to be frightened about going home.
As he believed that he did not do anything wrong and he firmly believed that the Spanish regime
will not punish innocents, he planned to go back into the Philippines. He also wants to know how
his novel does and other writings affect Filipinos and Spaniards. His great cause to help and
serve Filipinos who had been suffering by the slavery brought by system, also added to the fire
why he wanted to go back

Rizal’s concern also lies with the rising financial difficulties in his hometown Calamba,
Although Rizal’s patriotism is his main reason, he also has some personal problems that he wants
to address. The first one is about her mother’s operation in her eyes and the second one is about
Leonora Rivera’s silence.

With these reasons, we might conclude that those times were golden. As Rizal’s conviction
describes what every Filipino feel and what they can do if they only had a chance, we
sympathize and relate how hard it is.
