CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
Having observation with the trend nowadays, the business able to establish a logical
plan to help optimise the chances of success. This document outlines the goals, plan,
and how to rationalised each decision. In order for a solution in this area to be successful
(effective, sustainable, scalable), it needs to be attractive to potential customers. In order
to be attractive to businesses, the solution must provide more values than it costs – there
has to be gain. Simply offering unnecessary materials will not provide a business a good
outcome.
For this reason, the business believes on producing alternative products to allow
consumers to present it as using almost environmental friendly. While this would be a
huge success from a sustainability point of view, this is still not enough from a business
perspective. The business also needs to provide something which will either drive sales,
reduce costs, or, ideally – both. Ways that the business can see of achieving this include:
Improving customer’s experience, leading to higher retention rates and net promoter
score.
The Sirentrepreneurs believes that if it can achieve these things, it can turn sustainability
into a sustainable business.

PROJECT SUMMARY
Business Location
As shown in image 1, the business is located at the University of the East- manila,
particularly at the ground floor of P.O Domingo Center for Information Technology
(POD-CIT). The location is represented by the color yellow legend that shown in the
image.

CHAPTER III
BUSINESS ORGANIZATION

As shown in image 2, the organizational chart starts with the General Manager
followed by the Assistant General Manager and with nineteen competent employees.
The employees are divided into five different departments with the department head,
department supervisor, and department staff; namely: Production department, marketing
and sales department, operations department, accounting and finance department, and
human resource and administration department. Below are the roles and responsibilities
of the officers as what shown in image 2.

General Manager
Duties for the General manager will include allocating budget resources, formulating
policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing
operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes,
engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities,
and monitoring financial activities. The entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing
business functions will assist the organization in maintaining relationships with clients,
generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring
sustainability, and meeting business objectives.
Operation Department
Operation department is responsible for making sure that customer orders are
filled on schedule. This responsibility covers managing production rhythms and also
syncing manufacturing timelines with availability and delivery of materials needed for
production. It also cover the planning and making strategy about your product and
business.
Operation Head
Operation head is the key person in the management team and in the company.
He or she analyze and improve the organizational processes, and focusing to
improvements of the productivity, quality, and efficiency. The task of the operation head
is very important because he or she will plan what will happen to the business and
involves in making policies and strategic decisions as well as the improvement of
operational procedures. He or she also will assist the human resources department head.
Lastly he or she will encounter also how to solve some problems and to address
opportunities of the company.

Operation Supervisor
The Operation supervisor is a type of employee who observe the company’s
operation in a particular area. The duty of a supervisor is important in every different type
of career such as business, service, manufacturing and others. The duties of an
operation supervisor includes reports, budget planning, inventory control and planning
for the market strategy to sell the product to the customers and also planned the design
of the booth to make it look appealing to attract consumers. Also it must be sure that the
staff is knowledgeable and qualified about the task given.
Operations Staff
The operations staff may have duties including resolving customer issues, filling
orders, and inspecting merchandise. Operations assistants in many industries may also
help with office and employee management. They may be assigned tasks such as
ordering supplies and preparing sales reports.
Production Department
The production department is responsible for converting raw materials and other
inputs into finished goods or services. In between the processes of production, the
department works to improve the efficiency of the production or assembly line so that it
can meet the output targets set by company management and ensures finished
products offer consumers the best value and quality.
Production Head
Production is the functional area responsible for turning inputs into finished outputs
through a series of production processes. The Production Head is responsible for making
sure that raw materials are provided and made into finished goods effectively.
Production Supervisor
Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing
variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and
resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting
procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process
control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between
departments.

Production Staff
Production staff is tasked to do anything related to the product for example,
assembly or manufacture of parts and items, testing completed items, moving materials
and hardware to different zones or even cleaning the production zone. Being a
production staff needs to assemble domain and play out an assortment of obligations to
guarantee creation objectives are met for an association. Doing stuff such checking the
inventory are one of the job of production. Moreover production staff are described to
perform all production related tasks and activities.

Administration Staff
Maintain electronic and physical files. Maintain weekly schedules of employees.
Organize and provide documents, reports and information. Coordinate work space,
computer, and supplies for new employees with IT department.
Marketing department endorses the business and drives sales of its products or
services. It provides the essential research to identify the target customers and other
audiences. It’s important to keep a strong marketing department intact regardless of the
economy to remain visible and keep sales strong.
The sales supervisors manage the retail sales staff and coordinate several sales
activities, including pricing and the display of products, with a view to realizing the set
sales targets.

Sales Staff
As the public face of the company the Sales Associate is responsible for dealing with
any and all customer questions about the products and services the company offers. A
Sales Associate is expected to be continuously updating their knowledge of the company
products, services, and policies.
Marketing Staff
A marketing assistant might research competing brands and present those
findings to firm higher-ups. The assistant may also prepare and send out mailings, such
as press packages that share information about the brand or product the company is
currently marketing. These professionals also assist various departments in the firm on
whatever projects they need help with. A marketing assistant should get a chance to
learn about a lot of different aspects of the company through this role.

Staff Accountants work in the accounting department of a company or
in accounting firms and perform a variety of duties such as maintaining the general
ledger, reviewing financial statements, preparing financial reports, assisting with audits
and budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts.
Finance Staff
The finance staffs are responsible for accounting for various forms of revenue and
expenses for a company. Accounting functions include check processing, accounts
payable and receivable management, bank confirmations and payroll.

coordinated across the supply chain to create value for consumers while also
increasing the profitability of every link in the supply chain. The good outcome of
the business pertains to the past factors including the employee’s hard work and
organization during tasks, also the employee’s observation on conducting a
product is a big impact. In summary, the trend of the chosen products will
continue, even thougj supply chain partners must provide quality, consistency,
and continuity, there is an increasing need for the workers to have backup
suppliers. To remain competitive, smaller producers and commodity groups need
to look at becoming part of a larger supply system.

CHAPTER V
PRODUCTION
A. Product Specification
ACCESSORIES boost one's confidence especially to their fashion. Our own made
anklet, bracelet and hairclip with mermaid theme will give you good quality product in an
affordable price.
Plastic wastage is one of the biggest problems of the society so we are offering you
METAL STRAW sip while saving the environment. Our metal straw comes in set of silver
metal straw or mermaid metal straw with canvas or velvet holder .
B. Product Process
PALITAW
Step 1: Combine glutinous rice flour with water and mix until a dough is formed.
Steop 2: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough then mold it into a ball-shaped figure.
Step 3: Flatten the ball-shaped dough using the palm of your hands.
Step 4: Boil water in a cooking pot then put-in the flattened dough.
Step 5: When the flattened dough starts to float, remove them from the pot and set it
aside allowing water to drip.
Step 6: Arrange in a serving plate then put condensed milk, sesame seed and grated
coconut.

The employees are providing 200pcs of Palitaw every other day since it is only
available in an alternate ways of selling.
The business is producing 3pcs of each accessory a day for display or on the go
buyer. Also, the employees are accepting pre order for the preferred designs of the
buyers. The product will last for 3-4 days before giving to the buyers.
The metal straw is mostly pre order. But as part of the inventory, the company is
producing 10 different designs of metal straw for the physical production that needed for
the store.
In producing the products, the employees are the assigned persons in doing the
bracelets and anklets using their own bare hands. The materials that have been used for
bracelets and anklets are beads and nylon only. In the other hand, the metal straw and
the mermaid clips are from a distribution business which is partnered by the venture. The
making of the sub- product, Palitaw, does not comply any used of machinery, it consist of
sesame seed, Condensed milk and grated coconuts.
E. Plant Location
The business is located at the University of the East- manila, particularly at the
ground floor of P.O Domingo Center for Information Technology (POD-CIT).
The Sirentrepreneurs are favorable and also has a high visibility location because it is
located at University of the East PODCIT Building. It is strategically located where all of
UE manila students are always heading, when it's break time and dismissal of classes.

HUMAN RESOURCES
B. Application Requirement
Below are the different requirements needed for an employment, In accordance
to the labor code of the Philippines.
1. Birth Certificate – You may obtain a copy of this from the National Statistic’s Office
or more commonly known as NSO.
2. Transcript of Records – You can request this from the secondary school, college,
or university where you graduated from. This shows your academic performance when
you were still schooling.
3. SSS ID – You may obtain this from the 3. SSS ID – You may obtain this from the
Social Security System or more commonly called SSS, a social insurance program ran
by the government.
4. NBI Clearance – This document shows that the applicant is free from charges.
You can get it at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
5. Police Clearance – This clearance from the Philippine National Police (PNP)
proves that the applicant has no complaint or record in the police department.
6. TIN ID / Form – This document which can be obtained from the Bureau of Internal
Revenue shows that the applicant is a taxpayer. It also proves certain personal
information.

E. BENEFITS
Normal working hours shall not exceed eight (8) hours a day
Payment of overtime work shall consist of an addition of at least 25% of the regular
wage per hour worked or 30% thereof during holidays or rest days

Art. 85. Meal periods. Subject to such regulations as the Secretary of Labor may
prescribe, it shall be the duty of every employer to give his employees not less than sixty
(60) minutes time-off for their regular meals.
Art. 87. Overtime work. Work may be performed beyond eight (8) hours a day
provided that the employee is paid for the overtime work, an additional compensation

equivalent to his regular wage plus at least twenty-five percent (25%) thereof. Work
performed beyond eight hours on a holiday or rest day shall be paid an additional

G. Promotional Process
1. Problem definition
Product
Target audience
The target market will be students and millennial who wants to try the
fancy mermaid theme products and taste the creamy palitaw, which is the
venture’s sub-product. The business is located at University of the East POD
CIT Building. The proponents believe a locally-owned business is the best
option to serve the rapidly growing population with fresh, unique products.
Marketing strategies
Through flyers, tarpaulins that will be placed in front of the booth with the
size of 3” x 4 ft. and social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram
and Twitter, The Sirentrepreneurs attracts the customer’s attention,
communicate directly with them and give them enough information about
the product to foster enough interest to motivate them to purchase. It

media marketing is that it can be used to improve both public relations as well as
content marketing simply by asking for a response. The proponents will, moreover,
be able to know their feedbacks regarding the product.
Analytical tool
The company utilized the excel for the payroll report and other information from the
company that is all about Human Resources.

3. Promotional mix
The promotional mix that has been used for the company is to advertise the product
through the design of the booth enable to attract many customers because of the
attractive theme of the mermaid color. In advertising the product, the company utilized
the used of different social media platforms to spread the attractiveness of the product
and reach many people because social media is one important instrument to
communicate to others. It also uses the technique of personal selling. In compliance of
the selling activity, the manager of the business assigned different employees for the
everyday selling activity to advertise and promote the product to different target market.
The promotional tool used is very important in conveying the message and product to
the customer. The business decided to put the promotional tool for the booth and in the
different social media platforms in the start of the selling period until the end of the selling
period. Because this promotional tool is the way to attract many customers so we want to
keep it until the end of the selling period.

5. Pre testing
The pre testing period is experience by our co employees and classmates to ensure
that our product is very affordable and have a good quality. We test it to our co
employees because we want their feedback about our product if it is suitable for many
customers. The opinion of the co employees is very important because they are part of
the company, we must considered their views to our products because it will reflect to our
business.
6. Implementation
Selling is a form of art of matching product benefits with customer needs and wants.
We sell our products using our own marketing strategies, first we must know our product
analyze it and create strategy if our product have weakness, second, choose your target
market verify it if the product is for teenagers, adults or kids, third find your location, we
need to find a good location where our product will stand out among competitors, fourth
create a promotion strategy and advertisement to get the loyalty of customers also stay
making unique products, we sell our products by following these steps we finish the
selling week perfectly and we do it in a professional way by approaching our customers
with a clean and pleasant appearance and a big smile.
The objective is to launch a well-built business around the university campus where
people meet to look, share and make experiences. As a business owner, we want you to
feel the mermaid magic and give you the opportunity to show appreciation for our
mermaid theme products and to create stories and memories from it. We have
accumulated a revenue in excess of 5000 of which has been earned only during the first
period of selling from February 13, 2020. And the most famous product of our company is
mermaid clip that become sold out on our opening day also the creamy delicious Palitaw.

The company’s aggregated capital is 10, 450 pesos which was deducted by 78.61%
due to the costs and expenses incurred by the company for the establishment of the
business.

selling period:

After the actualization of the initial capital, the production department began to
produce the sub-product of the company which is the “palitaw” and barter them in the
market for an entire weekto be able to accrue the initial capital. This was done a week
before the selling period.
By the end of the pre-selling period, the company accumulated an additional capital
of 3,100 pesos which was accrued to the initial capital (7,350 pesos). The capital
mounted up to 10,450 pesos but gradually descend due to the expenses prior to the
selling period. The capital was reduced by 78.61% with a totality of 8,215 pesos.

revenue made during the selling period. The overall capital is 10,450 pesos which sums
up the members’ contributions of money amounting to 7,350 pesos and 3,100 pesos for
additional capital in selling the company’s sub-product which is the “Palitaw”. By dividing
the total sales to the capital, the venture got 63% for the return on investment.
