Seventy-two children between the ages of three and six now enjoy
a free pre-school education, learn to socialise with others and are
provided with nutritious meals each day. Extensive research has shown
that access to early childhood development services and early learning
will strongly influence a child’s future physical and mental health, and
social development.

Seeing the difference –
IWitness Global Citizens Blog
Every year, the IKEA Foundation invites small groups of IKEA co-workers
to visit some of the projects and blog about them. Called IWitness,
the program is an opportunity to see first-hand what a difference
our support makes in the lives of children in developing countries.
These experiences are then shared with a much bigger audience through
the IWitness Global Citizens Blog, where IKEA co-workers post their
photos, videos and thoughts while they’re on their trips. It’s a chance
for IKEA’s global citizens to share these special experiences so all
co-workers, customers and anyone else who is interested in the Soft Toy
for Education campaign can see how, together with their partners,
they are helping children in developing countries. Read the blog posts
written by IKEA co-workers here: www.blog.ikeafoundation.org
