1. Define completely randomized design


2. State the ANOVA table for two-way classification
3. Differentiate between direct method and iterative method in solving system of
algebraic equations.
4. Discuss briefly the method of solving system of algebraic equations by Gauss-
Jacobi method.
5. List the situation in which Newton's forward method and backward method is
used.
6. What is the number of intervals required for evaluating an integral by Simpson's
1/3rd rule, 3/8th rules.
7. Compare Runge Kutta method and Milne's method
8. Recall the Adam's Predictor-Corrector Method.
9. Represent the Laplace equation uxx + uyy = 0 using finite difference quotients
and find the Standard Five Point Formula.
10. Convert the differential equation y'' + 5y' + 6y = x, y(0) = 0, y(1) = 1, h = 1/3
into a system of equations using finite differences.

16. a A manufacturer of television sets is interested in the effect on tube


conductivity of four different types of coating for color picture tubes.
) The following conductivity data are obtained.
