11/23/2019 1061966 - Unable to Change IP Address on Compact GuardLogix Controller

Cause
The Compact GuardLogix controller is Safety Locked or is Safety Unlocked but has a Safety Signature
applied.

Solution
You can change the IP address as long as the Safety Signature does not exist and the controller
is unlocked.

If you do not have authority to remove the signature or unlock, you can clear the memory of the
controller by pressing the small button under the mode selector switch (a bent paper clip will work). You
must hold the button in while powering up the controller. This clears the memory, including the Safety
Signature and Lock. This allows you to change the IP address and configuration. You must then
download your program to the Compact GuardLogix and re-apply the Safety Signature and/or Lock.
