CI - Air GS-H
CI - Air GS-H
Features:
A horizontal operatable shutter which operates to equalize the pressure across it.
The frame and blades are constructed of extruded aluminum anodized as standard painted, powder
coated are available on request.
The frame has a typical wall thickness of 1/16” and separated from the movable blades by an extruded
rigid PVC track which is riveted to and becomes an integral part of the frame. A1/8” thick, 3/8” wide foam
tape is installed on the blades where they overlap to insure a good seal and to reduce noise.
Each shutter is carefully designed to equalize the pressure in such areas as a compressor of fan room with
the outside.
The blades are designed and positioned in such a way that if the pressure in the room increase the blades
automatically lift and open relieving the pressure in the room.
When the room pressure is normalized the blades drop to the closed position by gravity.
These devices are also employed at the end of exhaust ducts where they would open when the exhaust
fan was turned on and would close when the fan was turned off.

CIC Sand Louver CI - Air DL- H are architectural air inlets. They are
widely used for building exteriors and are suitable for different
HVAC and industrial applications to prevent sand entry.
CI - Air DL- H louvers have 2 inch deep horizontal fixed blades designed carefully for low pressure drop and
to prevent entry of sand.
The frame is 1.25” wide (flat or curved) flanged type and is mechanically joined to give a rugged
construction to the louver.
These louvers are available as optional with galvanized bird screen, aluminum type air filter in 1”, 2” and 4”
thickness and volume control damper.
They are manufactured in a wide range of standard sizes however, they can be supplied in non-standard
sizes, depths or architectural shapes to suit customers requirements.
CI - Air DL- H sand louvers are made of heavy extruded aluminium profiles.
They are available in white polyester powder coated finish or any other RAL standard colour upon
customer’s request.
Bird screens are made of galvanized expanded metal sheets.

CIC penthouse louvers CI - Air PHL - H are considered as typical louver units for both air intake and exhaust
applications.
They are designed and built to become a permanent part of the building.
They maintain their pleasant appearance and effective weather protection as a result of their rugged,
durable, extruded aluminium construction and careful workmanship.
They are usually furnished with either mullion or mitered corners and incorporate the normal CIC fresh air
louver blades CI - Air PHL - H as standard. However, any other type of CIC louver blades can also be used
as optional.

With Mullion Corner With Mitered Corner
Description:
CI - Air PHL - H penthouse louvers have as a standard 2” deep fixed horizontal blades.
The blades are carefully designed to get low pressure drop, maximum free area and to prevent rain-water
penetration.
They are available in 1.25” flanged frame and are built and mounted to an internal framing with mullion
corners.
The integral framing mullion structures are furnished with a standard 1.6” x 1.6” extruded aluminium
profiles.
For the other mitered corners type penthouse louvers, blades are beveled and welded internally at the
end.
The top of the penthouses are covered with flat or pitched roofs of aluminium sheets.
All of the four louver sides are of removable type for easy maintenance purposes, Penthouse louvers can
also be supplied as optional with galvanized bird or insect screens and / or aluminium washable air filters
of 1”, 2”, or 4” thickness.
CI - Air PHL - H penthouse louvers are made of heavy gauge extruded aluminium profiles. They are
available in white polyester powder coated finish or any other RAL standard colour upon customer’s
request.
Structural mullion corners are of strong aluminium profiles while roof tops are of aluminium sheets
as a standard.
However, galvanized roofs are also available upon request.

3) From table 3 the 4.125 ft2 effective free area is suitable for the following penthouse louver’s sizes:
• P = 5 ft, H = 28 inch.
Could be suitable for a penthouse basement dimensions of (WxL) - 12” x 18”.
• P = 6 ft, H = 24 inch.
Could be suitable for a penthouse basement dimensions of (WxL) - 12”x24” or 18” x 18”
