2.0 LETHAL INSTALLATION, ACTIVATION & REMOVING

2.1 INSTALLING

Lethal is packaged with 2 installers (Lethal Synth & Core Library).

Install the desired VST/AU/AAX Lethal Synth installer, install the Core Library installer, then install any
expansions.

Windows:

Extract the zip files completely, then run the *.msi installer files.

Libraries on Windows (such as Core library & Expansions) are installed to c:\programdata\. You can select a
custom location for the libraries of your choice, however, make sure each library have their own directory.
You cannot install all sounds into the ONE directory, as it will result in read errors within Lethal. We
recommend keeping the stock library naming, but any location is perfectly acceptable. (eg. If you are
wanting to install the Core Library to “E:\LETHAL\”, then make sure to install to “E:\LETHAL\CORE
LIBRARY\”)

Note: Extract the zip file completely BEFORE installing. Running the *.msi installer from within the zip will
not work because the installer cannot read the cab files.

MAC:

Run the package files. If there is an alert on install, command+click (or right click) on the package -> click
open -> proceed with install.

Libraries on Mac (such as Core library & Expansions) are installed to ~/Library/Application Support/
Lethal/. You can select a custom location for the libraries of your choice, however, make sure each library
have their own directory. You cannot install all sounds into the ONE directory, as it will result in read errors
within Lethal. We recommend keeping the stock library naming, but any location is perfectly acceptable.
(eg. If you are wanting to install the Core Library to “E:\LETHAL\”, then make sure to install to “E:
\LETHAL\CORE LIBRARY\”)

2.2 ACTIVATING AND DEACTIVATING

Activating

You will need your license key. This is shown in your account at www.lethalaudio.com.

Be sure to have an active internet connection.

Once you open Lethal in your host DAW software for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your
license key. Copy and paste your license key (as shown in your account on our site) or type it in manually,
then press OK.

On some DAWs, you may be prompted to enter your license key during the host DAW’s start up scan of
new plugins.

Potential errors on activation: (these are also covered in section 9.0 - Error FAQ & Troubleshooting)

- Activation failed. Connection to the server failed

First thing to check is that you have an active internet connection. Retry activating.

If you are using Windows, and have an active internet connection, then it is most probably a network
adapter issue. It is likely there are network adapters on your system that are disabled.

To make sure they are enabled:

Go to Network Connections.

Search 'Network Connections' at search bar and click 'View network connections'.

© 2020 Lethal Audio Co Pty Ltd | www.lethalaudio.com

6 of 30

Right click on each adapter and click 'Enable'

Contact us at support@lethalaudio.com for any further assistance.

Deactivating

Simply click on ‘System’ menu in Lethal.

Click ‘Deactivate’, and make sure to tick the box that says ‘Erase existing product key’.

Click ‘Yes’.

You can also manage all your activated systems in your account at www.lethalaudio.com.

Your Lethal license allows 2 activated systems. If you haven’t deactivated Lethal on previous systems, and
you are installing on a new system, you may come across this error:

Log in to your account and scroll down to ‘Activations’. Here you can manage and remove activated
systems. Delete desired activated system and retry activating on the new system.

envelope has ended)
Release (Time it takes the envelope to drop to 0 after the
note has been released)
Velocity (The intensity of velocity sensitivity which determines the strength of the envelope)
Amp (Amp volume)

Amp LFO (LFO)

Sync (When activated, the LFO cycle starts at the beginning

of each note. When off, the LFO will start at a phase
determined by the free running LFO wave)
Beat (When on, Syncs the LFO to the hosts tempo. When
off, the rate is expressed in hertz set by the user)

4.2 FILTER MODULATION

Filter (FIL)

Cutoff (Cutoff frequency of filter)

Resonance (Resonance amount)
